Personally, I wouldn't install headers w/o using some thermal socks. The spark plug wires are darn close to the header pipes. DEI is $$$, but far cheaper socks are available.

What model number Taylor 409 wires are you guys using? I'm looking to install new wires on my 1LE with ceramic coated stepped Kooks headers. I've been running OEM wires for 2 years now without issues but what to upgrade since I'm going to cam it then SC it soon.

Maybe its my Holley valve covers the way they angle the coils but mine are pretty good spaced as is.

I have Kooks and do not use any socks for my wires. No issues since i installed the headers early last year.
