Mine was fully loaded except for some optional wheels i think and it was 29,300. I didn't pay that though, i got the X-Plan price(and 0% financing!). Hopefully I'll be able to get GM's version of the X-Plan for Camaro. I may have to wait until 2011 though...

that means the vert SS/RS would be about 34 or so. I'm happy.

I'M NOT SAYING THAT'S WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN!!!!(In regards to SS/RS=Premium GT)
I was merely offering my thoughts on the subject.

Dealbreakers, not many for me, first is fit, I'm 6ft 6 so I have to fit into the car and second is price. I want a V8 so that means SS, ok fine, but if I get and SS and want the RS package what is that gonna add to the bottom line, then , the dealer installed options, don't want to knock myself out of the game before I start. Well, just gotta wait and see how it all works out.

Same as me lsuduke. I don't think you'll have any problem fitting, no clue about price. you can always get a vert for headroom. =P

(And this is my personal belief; that the RS package on the SS will be the equivilant of going from GT Deluxe to GT Premium on the Mustang....)
I strongly agree. The RS package will be like getting a GT Premium in terms of price. Don't compare with the G8.

I should've said that not getting a V8 means I'll get a V6. I am getting a Camaro, but it might not be what I originally intended.

thanks mindz, seems like you know alot about the Camaro, hope that's a good sign for me. but Verts and upstate New York don't mix well, don't want to be one of the people I make fun of with tops down and all the windows up. No offense to anybody, just think it looks goofy

touche. Maybe bolt the seats to the floor instead of the brackets if you need an inch or two only. =)

Mostly sunny, clear California warmth is great for a vert, especially ddriving down Pacific Coast Highway or in Napa.

Don't think there is a deal breaker for me, if they don't make a supercharged z28 by spring 2010, I'll be buying an SS/RS and modding it like there's no tomorrow. This car is magnificent! Hope of a badass Camaro was the only reason I backed away from the $34k GTO...which, you guys, also makes me think that $32-34k 2 years ago for 400hp will be the LOWEST I'd expect the SS to cost, if not more, due to the cool stuff the maro has that the goat didn't. I'd really love to be wrong and have it come in under $30k but I just don't see that happening, IMHO.

The deal breakers for me are:

(1) Performance.
(2) Price
(3) MPG

Everything else is fluff!

Obviously price is the only deal breaker. But it would just force me to wait a little longer, not completely give up on it.

I don't see the RS package being the difference between the Mustang GT and GT Premium. For one, the SS already comes with everything in the RS package except the HID/Halo's and Taillamps. You're already paying for the 20" wheels and spoiler in the price of the SS.

I'd be more likely to believe the difference between GT and Premium will be more akin to the difference between SS1 and SS2 (like LT1 and LT2). Garfin posted details on the SS1 and 2 in another thread (sorry I forget which one).

Dealbreaker? Nothing really.

I mean, I've been saving for a while and guessing at the price so mark ups would keep me from buying one immediately but I don't think that will be a problem cuz I'm Camaro Scotty's bandwagon.

There was an outside shot for the SS but I want all the RS perks and I think a RS/SS would break me. The RS/LT seems to be screaming for me.
The aftermarket for the new Camaro sounds like it's going to blow up! So I'm ready... a true dealbreaker is no Camaro but the Camaro is alive.

1) Price, if it gets absurd, which I DO NOT expect, then it may be time to bite the bullet and get a Vette

2) Not getting one in time, my lease runs out in June of next year, so I am hoping I will be good, already on the list, don't want it too early either and have to make two payments....
