This is I want to hear. That a 60' better than 1.8 is possible with 305/15 NT555Rs. I have a M6, but power is part of the equation.

Well, I got a great deal on some almost new 20" MT ET Drag Radials on chrome reproduction Camaro SS Rims. I have been running consistent 1.6x sec 60' times. Eventually I may switch to a 17" setup but for now these are doing ok.

Here is the video below showing how the car hooked up, my mods are in my signature except when these runs were made I was running a 100 HP Shot of Nitrous:

I got widened stock wheels with Nitto drag radials. Traction was better but not great. The drag radials did help me go from 13.0s to 12.9s. I needed to do a burnout in the water box improve traction, but still had to ease it off the line at the track to avoid spinning to much. Never got better than 2.0 60' times. Sacramento Raceway has very little track prep, next time I need to get to Sonoma where traction should be much better. Unfortunately, both drag strips are 2 1/2 to 3 hour drive away so getting a lot of practice driving is not going to happen. I took the 20" drag radials off and am looking to strengthen the differential and axles, then go to a 17" or 18" tire. Once I get this set up on the car I will get back on the drag strip. In the meantime, I have put Koni sport shocks, eibach springs and headers/tune on the car and look forward to improving me time at Buttonwillow in the fall.
