.............but Damn - I sure miss my buddy.

Got up this morning -- very cold crisp Autumn morning in Michigan - brilliant blue sky -- got Thor out of the garage -- and just felt terrible that this was the last time I'd take him for a spin.......

Dropped him off at the 11 Mile facility --- and as I drove away, I looked in the rear-view mirror -- and realized that I've never had a car move me the way Thor has -- and it also occurred to me how achingly handsome these cars really are........ (..yeah -- I'm prejudiced -- so sue me...)
.......was given a Captive Test Fleet SRX -- and the SRX has a lot of cool features (as well as one HUGE sunroof -- ) -- and I'd highly recommend it to someone looking for a Luxury Cross-over.......

BUT............completely different personality.

If the SRX could talk -- it would be something along the lines of

"....Good day, Sir -- may I bring you the latest Dow-Jones industrial average?....and perhaps later we can visit Brooks Brothers...."

.....whereas if Thor could talk it would be along the lines of:

".....Yeo -- Dude -- you and me -- let's hit the road -- and cause some ruckus...."

The SRX is perhaps a trusted advisor --

Thor was my best buddy that wants me to live life on the edge.........

you dont fit the corp world when it comes to Cars, You fit the world of Racecars & young men & women out there causing cane lol.

In mythology - Thor had two sons --

Modi -- and Magni --

Modi is a yellow SS/RS and belongs to our buddy in Western New York...(picture, please!...) Modi looks JUST LIKE Thor...........'cept for the Transformer package.........oh - and Modi has all of the updates - Thor is a very early car and has incorrect interior door panels, wrong I.P. applique - and other stuff....

Magni is the Camaro RS (ES) that I bought for "Mom" Settlemire - and so when I go back to Mars (Pittsburgh) -- I can always drive the "Son of Thor"

.....and there's nothing I'd like better than to be able to buy Thor and keep him pristine in Mars........well - OK -- I'd have to bring him back to Grosse Pointe Farms each spring -- but he'd 'winter' in Mars in a heated garage.....

.....now all I have to do is sell my Brickyard Convert....................hmmmmmmmm........that's not gonna be easy.............

All BS aside Scott. You've been awesome about all of the good, and the overblown bad. And very patient and honest. Thank you. Really. I LOVE this car.

PS, I got 4.86 0-60 and 13.08 quarter yesterday in this cool weather.

Scott, my heart hurts for you... You know they are never "Just a car!". everytime I drive my car I will think of you, how much of this car is you. I just hope that your new test vehicle maybe something like the Conv. or maybe even the Z! you never know. But I know you will miss Thor more than any other car and I bet Thor will miss you just as much! My thoughts are with the both of you! You will just have to kidnap moms car when you need that fix!

Well Zabo made the generous offer to collect money to enable Scott to buy Thor several months ago.

Search and you will find Fbodfathers response. Knowing him, I don't think that has changed.
