That would be the speed of the car in that gear at redline. Physics (aerodynamics, power, etc.) prevent you from going that fast (not to mention the governor, lol), but the gearing is there. Fifth and Sixth are geared higher to keep you car at lower RPM's and to get better fuel economy.

If you look at the second graph in my earlier post, the net acceleration at any speed above ~135 or so in 6th gear is negative; that means even at WOT, the engine is not producing enough torque to maintain that speed and the car would be slowing down. That means if you run it up to the limiter in 5th (155 mph or so) and then shift to 6th, the car would immediately begin slowing down until it reached about 135 mph.
