92 in my 97 heep cherokee., then i had to back it down because a curve was coming up.
90+ in a jeep is something I'd never do again. I've never felt a vehicle so loose trying to go in a straight line... every bump was a new adventure in not panicking.. |

You sir are nuts. When I was in the Navy I did the SAR support for the races in San Diego... Bottom line: speed on water > speed on land. Crazy.

But who's counting right? ![]() If I were ever to drive my 97 stepside over the speed limit on the many weekend road trips from San Diego to home... I would possibly, maybe have gone around 130... Now what would be really dumb is driving 80-90 and sometimes 100 comming out of the mountains west of SD on I-8. It would only take one close call to realize how stupid that would be... You know, if anyone were to try it.

I did 156 in an '04 ZO6 racing a Mystic Cobra past the stadiums and Phila. Int'l Airport on I95, and did 154 on my '06 Honda VFR800 on the PA Turnpike. Both were pretty crazy, and prolly won't do it again.

I used to live in Germany. I routinly drove 160-170 in my Porsche 928 S4 on the Autobahn, but I had it up to 190 once on the race track at Spa Belgium. Part of the track was actually part of the highway when races weren't going on. There was a guy with a twin Turbo 911 that would always blow my doors off though. Man that was some kind of fun back then!!! Those were the days!!!!
