My wife drives a 2008 2500 Suburban, when i brought the Camaro home for the first time she looked at it and said "it's little".

I love my 2010, BTW but I just have my '67 and my son's '99 Z-28 to compare. The car is beautiful - work of art!

Why is this thread still going? There's nothing of value here; just a 370z fanboy trying to convince Camaro owners his bowl of rice is better than our prime rib.

If I was a mod I'd --->LOCK<--- this thread. Nothing to see here...move along, move along...

This thread remains for the comedic value only..lol.. See I laughed..

The op did write this post below awhle ago, so he claims he owned a 350 and a Vette back then..

But, notice the common theme in all of the reviews: GM has buitl a winner that is superior to its competition. The Camaro will win a pissing contest in every performance and comfort aspect against the other competitors of the Big 3! The truth is conering isn't the only thing that is important when driving, the ride of the car will determine the comfort level of the driver and enable him to feel confidant in handling his car or not. And, another common theme is that the Camaro rides well and handles all obstacles you throw at it. When I had a 350Z and Vette, both were very nice cars, but even though the Vette had better cornering grip .98g versus .92g (350Z) the Z had a more comfortable ride and I felt alot more confident in the Z at higher speeds versus the Vette! Sometimes you give up to gain in areas. And, lets face it the majority of owners won't be on the track with their Camaro, so GM did the smart thing and made sure that the ride of the Camaro couldn't be matched by it's competitors and also according to one review still had the best grip .93g /.94g !

So relax and enjoy the car for what it is, a muscle car that is finally back to take it's crown against the Big 3 in a pissing contest!
You want handling.. Sell your Vette, 350Z and Camaro SS and get a Porsche..With all that money you have enough to buy a Porsche.

you think the 370Z is gonna do it for you? after having owned a vette i would think maybe a GT-R might be better choice...

Like I said above. You say you have inherited your fathers company (talking to the OP, not who I quoted) and have a Vette and a 350Z already while dreaming of the Camaro for two years while you ordered it and waited. You had to expect it not to be as nimble as wither of the two cars you already owned and so you don't like the cockpit area... You should sell all three cars or if you have enough money to have a fourth...Then buy yourself a Porsche 911 Turbo or something similar. All you are doing is complaining to us why you dislike the car ( which is fine) but it is time to move on and enjoy something else. If you want to stay in this forum, don't just resort to bashing the Camaro every chance you get while comparing it to cars $10,000 or more that you say are better.. No offense but you are beginning to sound like a spoiled kid with one too many toys who is never satisfied with what he has and wants the latest and greatest thing no matter what.. It is time to move on and enjoy all that you have already.

I don't quite understand that.

The OP could have avoided his disappointment if he had just taken that step.
Well, in his defense, I can't see how he could get a test drive only because no dealer in their right mind would allow him to. They don't do test drives on Camaros or Corvettes.

My first car was suppossed to be a '03 Camaro SS, but it never came out because the first time GM dropped the ball on the Camaro was '02 and it ceased to exist by the time I purchased a car! Please I happen to be a well educated person in econmics and government. I had to much faith in GM like America and obvioulsy both proved me wrong.

Either way after some research my car may have a fuse issue which is causing the power problem. It's def broken in as it has almost 1200 miles on it. I'll try the fuse thing to tap into the ECM and see if that works. But, the handling is still an issue we'll see. It would be nice if the Camaro had a track pack! I know GM is designing one it's just with 7 years to think about this car they had plenty of time to get it all right! I'll leave this thread and forum I really could care less what half of you think I came here for the open minded person who can accept and value someone elses opinion and for those who haven't got a Camaro yet to warn them!
So you are 22yrs old?

That explains allot...

Enjoy your NON American Car Mr. Conservitive...

You should have NO problems selling that car. Put it up on E-Bay and sell it for what you have in it. You will make some Camaro enthusiast very happy.

Well after waiting 3 years for this car to finally be in my driveway since I saw it in the magazine it has been nothing short of a dissapointment. The car feels heavier than it is, the vision out of it is very oddly shaped. And this car is not violently quick, which isn't a big deal but after driving a Vette for 4 years it isn't the same. But, I knew the Camaro wouldn't be a Vette. It seems I let the hype and nostalgia of this vehicle persuade me to have to have one in my driveway immediately. I always loved Vettes and Camaros, but once you get past the cool factor of this car and the fact that is has a Vette motor, without the Vette power, it just isn't doing it for me. Please don't flame me for coming on here and giving my honest opinion of the car. I just want others to know what the SS really has to offer.

The fact is I love sports cars and the Camaro is not a sports car it's a sports coupe! Forget the fact that GM is advetising this car as the "Sports Car of the 21st Century!" It is not a sports car. It handles poorly when driving in tight mountain roads which I love to do with my toys. Too much body roll and steering isn't tight enoguh.

I'm afraid that my worst fears have come true about this car. Ever since the first test in the magazine I figured this would happen. This car is great for what it is, but not for someone who really loves sports cars and what sports cars really are. Sports cars are fun to drive in all situations, Camaro doesn't fit the bill all the time. A sports car communicates with its driver at all times, Camaro puts you on hold most of the time. These cars are sports coupes trying to reveive the muscle car era big engines go fast. Yes they obviously turn alot better and brake better than ever, and the Camaro is also very suitable for highway driving and comfortable on bumpy roads, but it isn't enough.

I need to enjoy driving my car and I'm sharing this info for others to read that haven't purchased the Camaro and haven't driven one yet. I'm not saying to listen to me I think you should go drive one. Who knows you mgiht fall in love with one. But, there needs to be criticism here, this fanboy atmosphere of I don't care what you think because you killing the Camaro. I'm entitled to my opinion especially after forking over $35k for a Camaro. And people that haven't purchased one need to see this criticism of the car, because you are on a Camaro forum and it is very unlikely that you will get a non biased opinion because this is the Camaros home for fans.

I've tried to love this car, I really have, but I shouldn't have to. The car has ben so hyped that it falls way short in my opinion. And hopefully GM gets their act together and brings out a Camaro that is better handling and lighter. I will be test driving some 370Z's this weekend and I know they will be a fun car to drive nothing is final in my decision yet, but the Camaro ma have just lost another valued cutomer that GM needs!
Do you give up on everything so fast?

The Camaro SS is a muscle car,, not a sports car. Its a (Motortrend quote) "Boulevard bruiser" . Twisty mountain roads? Naaaa . Not the Camaros forte. I like vettes , but I LOVE having the Vette motor without the car that surrounds it due to the stygma of mid-life crisis, big gold medallions, and bad hair plugs. Stereotypes suck,, and they have been stuck on the vette like that for some time.
