And on top of that the last GM dealer I worked for still doesnt have a laptop. They use these olds ass pc's but they do have the MDI they have to with the new cars.

Reading the codes you dont have to have the GM stuff, but certain functions are much easier with it. Hell mopar you just have to cycle the key why cant gm do that.

I don't think they do that anymore...we have an '03 van, and it doesn't show anything when you cycle the key. I want to say that's an OBD I thing...

that issues is only on the v8 engines, the llt is an over head cam engine
