I never saw this write but I guess I need to me a few changes to 4 cars now !
Does it help or hurt having the other hose still hooked up ? .

It doesn't produce as much oil, so if the passenger side hose fitting is either drilled out or replace, then it gives the crankcase a better way to breathe. Especially if you FI.

Ok Jeff you lost me also on that one also because this catch can the hoses are hooked to the passenger side PCV and the intake manifold.

Here are some tips, but you will need to be creative as well:
I went to lowes tonight, found some very good fitting 1/4" Gray plastic plugs in the isle with the
long pvc pipe, area of a bunch of gray 1/4,3/4,1", etc fittings of all type 2 x .57 = $1.14.
I removed the long pipe (with the oil catch can for lack of a better description), may as well
remove it, so it's not in the way flopping around.
Inserted plug into rubber tube coming off the intake on drivers side.
Inserted other plug into rubber tube on drivers side near the firewall on top of valve cover.
I zip tied it in place, to prevent it from rattling off now that they aren't connected to anything.
No cutting necessary and i can revert back to stock at any time.
There was definately oil in the tube, not much but it was there.
Pic 1 : part no. for plugs. 2 of them.
Pic 2 : Remove unnecessary stock tube and can.
Pic 3 : Stock tube capped off at the stock intake.
Pic 4 : Stock tube near firewall capped off, drivers side, under the cheap gray back engine cover.
Yes that is the one I was reading from on the back page.

But then I found the cover would not fit on So I used the old piece of tube I cut out and used it for a re-route of the tube and it works better now.

This is the hose I was referring to. Just plug it off on the CAI and the hose itself?

You are right so far. Looks like you have it right. Just plug off the drivers side ones now. Tes, that one the arrow is pointing too, and the one that same hose connects to on the rear of the valve cover, and your done.

Yes that is the one I was reading from on the back page.
On the rear stock fitting(with PVC tube pulled off) you will see a fitting with a tiny hole on top. That hole is to small to evacuate the crankcase vapors as is. It needs to either be drilled out to a larger hole( which is what I did), or it needs to be wrenched off and replaced with any 1/4 inch threaded elbow( as long as it isnt PVC), you can get at home depot(usually in the pnuematic tool isle) you want. But as is, that hole is too small.

I went out there and looked just now. I guess I am blind I dont see the fitting you are referring to. All I see is the PCV valve back there with the hose attached to it. Do you have a pic of it?

No, the wife drove the car today. If you disconnect that fitting, it connects to a silver fitting. its under that PCV fitting. once you get it off, you will now what im talkin about right away. That hole is way to small.

HAHA... oh hell. Ok, the tube that connects to the rear PASSENGER side valve cover. That fitting comes off, and the little thing it connects to, needs to be drilled out. Then you reconnect the fitting to it, and attach the tubing, that runs to the catch can( and actually, I just connected my tubing directly to that thing I drilled out) .The DRIVER side tubing and filter thingy, comes off completely and both connections on the DRIVER side are capped off. The connection you have on the top of the valve cover is fine. I would just throw hose clamps on them all.

If you are looking at the pictures on my garage its probably throwing you off, because I mounted the can on the drivers side, and plumbed it behind the engine for a cleaner look.

I went out and pulled the PCV valve out on the drivers side with the hose still connected to it and I dont see the silver fitting in there? Maybe mine does not have it? I just went out and snapped a couple of pics back there for you to see.
