Exactly. I drove the 2011 and 2012 and I bought a 2012 (not JUST because of the steering wheel though). The wheel is MUCH better. I'm very glad they did it.

IDK, I spend a lot of time with my left hand at 7 o'clock. The new wheel doesn't look like it would allow that.

On a engineering level the 2012 is superior. But hey, everyone who doesn't have it should complain about it.

I'll complain also about that. I'm getting a 2012 2SSRS M6 this weekend and the new wheel is more comfortable and smaller. It looks fine also, it's a friggen wheel and as long as not butt ugly I'm not kicking the car out of the garage because of it. I can still see the gauges but I never drive with the wheel in my lap anyway. In addittion the hud has the data in front of you if desired so no need to look at the gauges.

The lower "spokes" don't look like they're that much wider than the first wheel...7 shouldn't be an issue...6:30 might be, though.

Simliar Wheel in our Cruzes and love it. Dislike the Ergonomics of the old wheel in the Camaro but like the look. Wish the '12 Wheel had a Camaro badge instead of Bowtie May make a few more people happy. Noone has modded it yet out there? LOL
