Waiting vs getting right away? Waiting after ORDERING a car vs "waiting for the right time" which is apparently what you're doing are two COMPLETLY DIFFERENT THINGS.
Oh, I've saved my $ and will be paying CASH!
Your is appology accepted - The Almighty one!
Now you can go away son, go away!
When was the last time you drove in 85 mph headwinds? Cause that's what it would take at 70mph to equal 155mph total. I think there's a lot of nonsense on both sides of this issue. The problem has (supposedly) happened, let's see how Chevy deals with it before declaring that the "sky is falling".

So, how would this issue have come up sooner? People just started getting production cars 2 weeks ago. I haven't even seen any other drag race tests or road course results yet, much less high speed runs. So yes, this is one case. Hopefully the ONLY one. We won't know unless others begin doing their own high speed tests. That might take months to gather more data, but like I said someone has to mention the first occurrence to get it noted.

I'm not negative about it, my car is still on order and I look forward to getting it. Does this potential issue concern me? Yep.
The pace cars at alot of the race tracks have done 155, did not see them cracked.

Yo nineball go get your bug and tar remover and report back
Look at the top picture, there are a bunch of cracks, look in the shadow. I think it hit something.

this is real bad news, this should not happen at any speed !! after studing the pics I think its a supplier issue and not one caused by simply driving at a high speed.

We will see, I guess... don't know what to say. If it is a problem, a fix will be made I imagine. Some sort of recall in the future. Just part of the 'charm' of having a first run!

My guess is, they hit a bird or possibly a hamster when they were going 155 around the track.

I started to read thru this thread, untill it became an attack thread, then I just gave up and came to the last page.

I want to know who sat on the front of the car? or who thought the hood extended too far and lifted up on the wrong part of the car?

I second that. It looks like the car hit some thing, not a stress crack.

55 the max?
So how long ago did you order?
i thought head wind effected cars that have MAJOR ground clearance
