Ah ok thanks. Looking at the pics with the leds in there it looks like 2 bars could fit in 1 marker. Would be cool to have the clear marker with white leds (hooked to lights) and yellow leds (hooked up to blinker ) and same in back but with the white and red combo. Do like the 70's dual style but have the bottom turn led's (yellow and red) gohsted and the top led (white) visible

Checking on the bulb base with wires. The only option for wires is RGBY, which I believe is 4? wires. There is a 2 wire pictured but it's not selectable in the ordering section. Anyone have any input on whether this will be ok?

Where is the best place to get another set of markers? I sent a set off to one of the vendors on here, twice and still am not satisfied with the results. The paint is full of trash and the light bleeds through the markers like crazy. They look decent during the day from a distance, but at night the light bleeds through like crazy. The trash in two of the markers is big enough to actually feel. I was told when I sent them back the first time that they just needed to be "buffed out". It did help, but I paid for more than just an OK job. I guess the bleed through is because they are white as I didn't have these issues with my IBM ones before. I have painted the edges of the current markers and that has helped a lot of the light bleeding through, but I would still like to improve upon the front. I am hoping using a dark primer initially will help. Any thoughts?

I just found this thread and first have to Thank Mach and all of the folks that have contributed to this thread. It's Very interesting!
I've reread this thread twice and saw it asked once, but not answered. I understand that the best way to cut them open is by using a new, sharp utility or razor knife or exacto knife to keep the cut lines thin, but once the housing is open and the led's are installed and fastened, how did you seal them back up to prevent condensation and leakage? I'd probably either superglue them together or use 2 part epoxy (the kind that is used for building R/C cars) and then use some paintable silicone caulk that I'd smooth out, to waterproof them. That's just a guess though! Thanks in advance! |

I used 2 part epoxy and that sealed them up as well. I didn't need any silicone.
