Not a problem. There is access in and out all weekend through gate 2. First excursion to the paddock will be at 10:30. Aside from your Solstice there will be at least 1 G8, maybe a Stang and a Chally, and who knows what else.

For anyone coming through Watkins Glen to the track and has never been there, here is a map with some landmarks to help you get through. If coming from Ithaca, you can miss most of the stoplights and traffic by turning left on Magee, then right on 9th, then left at the light on rte 14. If using a GPS the address at the track can be found here:

John Fitzpatrick, who is the GM marketing manager for Corvette & Camaro will be at the corral. Maybe you can get him to ramrod that order through for you.

Yeah, I already emailed him and warned him about potential upset convertible owners approaching him (including myself). Since my buyback is in process, I won't have to bother him about details, but the "ramrodding" idea is a good one. Maybe I'll have an actual order number by then and I'll give it to him. I also have been communicating with the Camaro plant manager. Funny thing, the Camaro plant manager owns a suspect convertible and of course, it doesn't leak. If the plant manager got one of those early on, maybe so many of them would not have gotten out!

Update
Just talked to John Fitzpatrick. He will be at the track Saturday around noon. The ZL1 Vert will be there also. He plans to be at the corral around 2:00 for the prize giveaway.

I looked at the hand book that came with my tickets and read what is and is not allowed in the grandstand gates, and in the pits. It says no hard sided coolers and the soft sided coolers (which are allowed) are limited to 9x10x13. Also says umrellas are not allowed. Do these rules apply to the corral also, and will they be looking through our cars as we enter? I can adapt to the rules but thought I would ask to avoid problems for others. I am guessing that bringing in the normal detailing equipment is not a problem.
