Hi Brian,

My paint scheme will be along the lines of the car pictured below. I need to find a good blue color, maybe a candy color to use. I plan to use a red to divide the colors similar to the WD40 car. I have a hood in mind and some nice wheels kind of picked out. Suspension, Exhaust and interior will all get some changes as well.

When I get my car we'll have to do a coffee and camaro meet and greet....

So this morning I went up to Randy and ordered a black on black 2SS/RS Auto. I have plans for a custom paint job this winter and several mods along the way.

This is my first new car. I useually take my wifes hand me downs and finish running them into the ground.
The last line sounds more like it come from a poet , congrt/ but you still have time to make it right ,you just have to add INFERNO ORANGE INTERIOR , and you will be done !!!

Randy told me about 8 weeks. I will try and take pictures of it before they unload at our dealership like I did with my wifes Cobalt SS.

This is my preliminary order number - #PDRSG5

The inferno interior looks awesome, mine will go in to get a custom leather job and stitching. I don't think the orange will work with my paint scheme.

Allen,
I love the ideas on the paint scheme. I'd like to get together for a coffee run. Know of any coffee shops here in the North West,(ha ha). You probably know where I can get some things done. I'd like to get the tail lite bezels done in black chrome. I would need to get a second set as I can't go more than a day with out it (work car). Also mechanical stuff. I'd like to do that myself but no lift. Please keep me posted. I would like to see the progress.

If your up to it?

I'm going on a Gorge/Mt St. Helens Cobra Run 8.29.10 http://www.ffcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=255055 this morning with the Cascade Cobras car club this morning. I will be driving in my red Cobalt with a GoPro chase cam. See route below.... If you have nothing going on, why not bring the Camaro out with us. It doesn't matter that it's not a cobra and you don't have to be a member to join in on the cruise. I also have a lift in my garage

Quote:
Quote from FFRCars Forum; Tom and I have our route for this Sunday the 29th Cobra run. We are doing a Gorge.Mt. St. Helens Loop. We start at the IHop off 164th in Vancouver. 9amish. Head up 14 through the gouge. We will stop to top off for gas at the Chevron right before Stevenson. Then we hop back on 14, go through Stevenson and make the left up to Carson on to Wind River Highway. (windy and FUN road, freashly paved too). Follow that up to Curly Creek Road and to McClellan View point.

About 4 miles up Forest Road 51 (Curly Creek Rd) on the right hand side of the road as you come around a turn is the McClellan Viewpoint turn out. Lot's of parking, a generally clean restroom, and some picnic tables with a great view of Mt. Saint Helens with the Lewis River Valley in the foreground.

Thought we can stop here take pictures, stretch legs, if there isn’t a lot of people around and the view is clear we might get some good shots of the cars with the mountain in the back ground.

Then we hop back on the road and head down towards cougar. We go through Cougar to Yale Lake, it is $5 dollars to get in, but big area, similar to Merwin, just a little bigger….. nice picnic area. We can stop there and eat, so everyone needs to pack their lunch that day and bring chairs or blankets to sit on.

From there we have options, we can leave either leave through Amboy and Battle ground or go through woodland to I5. We are open on that. We will take a vote

One big LOOP, the road is fun and windy and pretty.

I am thinking if we left IHop at 9ish that would put us at Yale Lake Noonish.

Hey Brian, I just got back from the cruise what a blast. We had one Mark II GT40, our Cobalt SS, one Miata and several AC Cobra's. I broke the news to my friends that I ordered a Camaro to replace my GT40. I took video with my new GoPro camera today, we will have to see how that turned out and I may post some of it. I can't wait to start driving the new camaro next season with the Columbia River Camaro Club and the Cascade Cobras car club.

Just let me know if you want to turn a wrench on the Camaro and your welcome to come over and use my lift. I have plenty of tools and a air compressor as well. I'm just finishing up a couple of projects right now that should be out of the way in a couple of weeks.

But I'd have to say...

I can't imagine your car matching up to that one. Hehe. But it's definitely got it's pro's and very few con's. I'm sure you know that being in the work you do.

Hi John,

I would be keeping the 40 in a heartbeat if my wife wasn't claustrophobic. Unfortunately this is the main reason the car is up for sale. We waited 2.5 years for this car and it was finished this year, I have put just under 500 miles on it now and they have all been without my wife riding along. I just don't enjoy it as much without her along for the ride.

The GT40 is in a class all by itself that's a fact. It is low even next to a Corvette. At 2450 LBS it will be a blast for the new owner for sure.

Well I don't know the specifics of the sale, but I imagine you'll get rid of it quickly. How does your wife like the passenger seating in the Camaro? Mine is 5'4" or so and she has no complaints about the height of the seat. So she has plenty of room. I imagine your wife will like the step up in interior size.

I'd also like to think that the Camaro is in a class by itself too. Regardless of what those "other" guys say.

Allen,
Glad you had a good time. IMO all cars are ment to be driven. I'd love to see the 40 befor you let it go. For me the Caddy has been fun but its time it went. I'd like to see your vid. How long did the cruse take today? I did get out for a short drive, but I did Clay Bar and wax the wife's Camary first. 1 month on the Camaro and 3500 Miles.
