Oh, you will get some enjoyment out of the oil dipstick tube too.

Okay, new question:

Does the connection pipe go on the stock exhaust first or the header first? I've got the header on the car and I've got the stock exhaust on, but I can't scoot the header forward enough/the stock midpipe back enough to get the connection pipe to slide on both ends! How did you guys do it?!

I wound up having to drop the tunnel cross brace to alow the exhaust pipes to drop down enough to be able to mate everything together. Then once everything was assembled I reinstalled the tunnel brace before tightening everything up on the exhaust.
And I have to agree with TJBUSA my oil dipstick was exposed to quite a few blue clowds trying to get that thing back into place.

Dude, you have no idea. the passenger header is THE WORST part of this install BY FAR. You CANNOT do it by yourself. It's nuts...........

Yeah, from underneath I had to use a foot long zip-tie to secure the header to an anchor point on top of the head so it wouldn't slip back down when I went back up topside to bolt it to the head. Getting the gasket to line up with the holes in the header and the head and getting the first bolt started was also a b*tch.

But...all things taken into consideration...this was the easiest car to install headers on that I have ever done.

Not only is it doable alone, its pretty simple.

Try headers on a 4th gen...

FINALLY done!!!! YES! Final question: Is it supposed to smoke and smell funny upon first drive?

NO CEL code yet, but it did smell funny/smoke at the beginning. I'm assuming this is normal burn-off? Anyways, i'll post the rest of my findings and review tomorrow!!

The smell and some smoke is normal...as long as it isn't excessive smoking.

Congrats on the install!
Smell and smoke should go away after a short drive. If not make sure the primaries aren't touching anything they shouldn't be.
