Engine lineup should be an all-new 2.5L I-4, 2.0T I-4, a V6, and a V8 for the V-series model.
Wowza!

For instance: GM's CTS-V barely beats the current BMW M5 on the track and in a straight line...however, BMW is launching the NEW M5 already and it will most definately leave the CTS-V looking like it is stuck in park. Twin Turbo V8 with a projected 578 HP, 530 lb-ft of torque, 0-to-60 in 4.4 seconds and 188 MPH top speed. (the V-10 in the current car is 507 Horse and 390 ft lbs) .

GM USED to lead the world...now it follows. And it drives me nuts.
You mean the new M5 that was (more like - is being) built after the CTS-V came out? Reacting isn't leading.

Really? Because the current CTS-V makes 556 HP, 551 lb ft of torque, and does 0-60 in 3.9 seconds. And ran the Nurburgring faster than the M5.

Who's leading who?

If I could afford a CTS-V coupe, I'd be quite the happy camper. That car is beautiful!

But then again, so is my SS

Chevy testing the new alpha platform!? with pics of testing!

This spy shots from Road & Track show what appears at first glance to be a Cadillac CTS. However, the wheelbase is much shorter, leading us to believe this is in fact a mule test car for the upcoming ATS, which would share the Alpha platform with the new Camaro.

full story here with pics!

Alpha-based Camaro would be a year or so after ATS.

its not the car. you got to look at the distance between the rims... notice that they are almost clipping the wheel wells. its a smaller platform with a cts shell droped on it
