Yeah also it may be cool because honestly i have only seen one camaro without stripes, and i like it. Would look really cool with red brakes! Or if you paint your rims do red on the inside.

sorry to here this Joe......in the future....you need to deal with Jerry through our club.....it would have turned out to your liking I am sure. Seeing as how he has a lot of clout at his dealership.
BTW....paint your Calipers RED. and if you end up getting your stripes painted on somewhere down the road, jerry can get you hooked up, he has some connections in the area as far as getting them custom painted on.

I gotta tell you, I think you might want to find a dealership that has lights on the lot. Place you are dealing with sounds kind of shady if they delivered your car in darkness.

Can you try and argue that the swotch you looked at is NOT the same color as the stripes they put on?
And also the fact that nighttime/rain delivery accepts are always a bad idea, whos idea was it to give it to you in a dark dark room late at night. |

It was pulled out side at 730 so it was dusk/dark thats why i figured it looked peachy cuz the way the sun looked. and idk but im just gona get them taken off and go all back like i originally intended. Only problem is i scratched the back when taken off the bowtie but the stripe covered it now with out the stripe ima haft to get that fixed too.. This whole situation sucks horse D!@%

oh joe......you REALLY don't want to go with FLAT BLACK.......my Second Gen was a Rally Sport, and the 2nd Gen RS's hood and roof were flat black......it was a NIGHTMARE.......I would strongly recomend NOT going with FLAT BLACK stripes........NOT TO MENTION.....if you are going to paint the stripes on......do them in RED like you first wanted.......the paint won't cost any more whether its black or red.....and they can paint it ANY color red YOU want.

Your best bet would be to have them painted on and that way they can clearcoat over the whole hood & trunk panels so no edges can be felt on the stripes. Not to mention they will be glossy

My local body shop quoted me at $400 to paint stripes on, if they tell you $1200 for stripes you should go elsewhere. Its a simple job for an experienced shop.

They quoted me $800.00 at my shop of choice. They would remove the hood, remove the truck lid, take the rear spoiler off the trunk lid, scotchbrite the whole panels, using the GM factory stripe style stencils paint basecoat stripes, clear the whole panels, color sand, and polish, reinstall everything, done. This way the stripes are under the clear and the panels come out smooth. You can see the stripes, but you won't feel them.
Here is a photoshop sample I made of how it would look on mine...
