alright well if you saw my last post it was that my camaro had viynl stripes put on it that were cardinal red. Witch was suposed to be blood red to match the rest of my car. insted it looks peachy and pink in the shawdows :( .. Well i went into the dealer today to ask them about it and heres there response.

You said you wanted red you never specified what kind of red
you accepted the car how it was ( at 8 at night in the dark )
the vyinl is a complicated thing to match to blood red
the companys not straight through GM so theres nothing we can do free of charge
and maybe you should get them painted on if you really want that pecific color

GREAT now im out $400 for orangey pink stripes and im gona haft to drop another who knows how much to get them painted on :(

If you didn't specify the colour exactly, I guess it's down to luck which red was chosen from the many tones of vinyl available. However, if you had asked them to match the stripes to the engine cover, that could have been pretty close to achieve. We have our vans liveried in dark red vinyl, and when we first went to choose the colour, there must have been 30 shades of red. So, assuming you asked for a match, I would say you are being BS'd.

Legally theres nothing i can do i did acept the car how it was but at the time i couldent see the stripes but im so pissed right now

How much is it to paint stripes on ?

I would walk in there calmly (do NOT follow greasys advice-no offense-), explain to them that you are not happy with the stripes and you are not happy with their response. Speak with someone above whoever you spoke with last time. If they still feel that you do not deserve a refund, or some sort of compensation, let them know about this forum, and any other forum you are a part of.

Explain that a happy customer will easily tell 4 or 5 people about a dealership that took care of them, one that made things right. But an unhappy customer will tell one hundred people if not more. A pissed off customer that has access to the internet, who believes he is being screwed will tell a thousand! Make sure they understand that you have the time and inclination to spread the news, including their name and information to the local, state and digital neighborhoods you are a part of.

see what they say to that.

Did you specify before hand that the color of the stripes were to match? If so, then it's on them. If you just said red, then all you can get is what their willing to give.

I believe in the other thread you said that they showed you a sample of the vinyl on your car and you agreed to it. Then you accepted it after it was complete. It sucks it ended up not being what you wanted but they're under no obligation at this point to change them. Maybe you can work out a deal for a discount to have them changed. Good luck.

Ur 100% correct and it blows. When I saw the sample it was a tiny piece and looked right and the. I accepted it in the dark so even tho it sucks legally they don't have to do anything idk what to do but I can't deal with that color ;(

That sucks bro...I would definitely put Red calipers on an all black car or truck. I have always thought that looked good especially with these brakes

Yeah, red, or any color really, on a black car helps set it off nicely, I have green on my black car and i really like it.
