I really do like the English goof balls on top gear. But they are seriously misleading the viewers. That HP was taken at the wheels on a portable DYNO and i am sure they were not at SAE environmental conditions. My Uncle has a GT 500 and it feels and drives like it has all of 500HP. Yea it is only good for a straight line and is super heavy, but they do look pretty kick ass. His uncle had a orig '65 shelby gt 350 that he sold after the third trany het put in it. wish he could have that one back.

oh well...my 77 T/A weighs hundred pounds less....ALL STEEL BABY...
But seriously...still the stang still has the truck axle...i mean i know the F-bodies had always had one....but cmon ford...gotta step up the game in a world where everyone overseas sees our cars as old fashioned...just fuelin the fire. Anyway...my T/A beats any stang round here or 3rd or 4th gen...not trying to bash on my own kind...but still...damn i love my car...and soon...ill have a 5th gen and let the T/A be the garage queen it was meant to be...cuz damn im getting tired of 8 mpg. |

and garagelogic...how do you live on this site...seeing how the camaro was developed as a retaliation towards the mustang...and users always bashing on rustangs...i mean cmon...that car sucks right?...thats why you getting a camaro right?...cuz the stang sucks right?...u realized ur mistake right?....better to fix a GT500 with a 5th Gen SS right?....right?

That was a good article. I have the issue and read it all the time. On the same token, they drive on a prep'd track with a good driver who's goal is driving the pizz out of the car, unlike the wine and cheese rags' who do roll starts, don't powershift, and try testing on pebble riden concrete. I'm not taking away from the 'Vette though. I hope that the SS will put down some numbers that are close. Those heavy/tall wheels and tires aren't going to help though. Still, I'm not discouraged at all
