Here is a picture of what not to do....I pointed this out to the company when they were showcasing their build......WRONG GEAR ,WRONG BOLTS,AND STOCK TENSIONER!!!!!

Here is a little data for you:

LS CAMSHAFT SENSOR SPROCKET OR GEAR & CRANKSHAFT RELECTOR ID PAGE
A) Single bolt 4X camshaft sprocket or gear from a 2007-2011 LS2 or LS3 engine. 2009-2010 LSA engines.

B) Three bolt 4X camshaft sprocket or gear from a 2006 LS2 Corvette or from a 2006-2009 LS7, 2009-2010 LS9.

C) Three bolt 1X camshaft sprocket or gear from a 2005 LS2 Corvette or a 2005-2006 LS2 GTO, SSR or Trailblazer engine.

D) Three bolt camshaft sprocket or gear from a 1997-2004 LS1, LS6 or other Gen III V8 engines. No reluctor teeth are on the gear because the camshaft reluctor would be built into the camshaft core at the back of the engine.

Here is what your cam install kit should contain:

F#($!!!!!!!! I am almost finished with my cam swap and just saw this. After checking some pics of my install I see that the speed shop sold me the incorrect gear for a 2005. I checked my reciept and it states 2007 Cam swap and shows the correct gear on the site. They better be sending me the correct gear and a new pulley bolt -(I just bought an underdrive pulley from them as well) ASAP once I call them. Damn! I hope I can get the A/C belt off without ruining it. At least I caught this before trying to fire it up and getting codes.

Nice save brother. Hopefully ADM has cleared the air somewhat over what a cam change is all about. Especially in that you need to pull the oil pump in order to change tensioner to dampner as you have done. At least you can button up the pan and wait for the correct cam gear. Thanks for showing the pic.

THANKS ADM. I was able to get a new crank bolt and the CORRECT pulley through my local dealer in 1 day. SPEED INC. -whom I purchased from- was WORTHLESS. The person on the phone tried to tell me that they didn't know if gm made the correct sprocket -even thought they list a 3 bolt sprocket for the 2010 camaro and have a picture of it on the site!. After I explained that it's a factory sprocket for a ZR1 they said they would call me shortly and "get me what I needed." They NEVER called back! I'll NEVER purchase anything from SPEED INC. again! - by the way, the car's up and running great w/ Zr1 cam

For those with the stock plastic pos tensioner, if your in there replace it before it comes apart. I had chunks of it in the oil pan after a cam swap and about 5000 miles. once mine was detected several other Camaro were checked and found 3 more with pieces missing. My engine had to be pulled and oil pan off to remove several pieces of the tensioner. The replacement was done from a stock vette tensioner which was metal and no possibility of being pulled apart by the chain. just my .02

OK, I am a messinger here. Just want forum members to be aware there are some shops that do not do the due dilligence regarding cam replacement. Then there are those that do the job correctly. So, being fore warned makes you a more knowledgeable owner. There are many stories of failed cam tensioners out there because someone took a shortcut as described above by flyby. That is why I jumped into this post to give what I am aware of. If you go to a 3 bolt cam be sure you get a dampner, not tensioner as described above.
