Spoke with Scott today at Philly Auto show 7-9AM at Camaro preview and one main question the crowd asked was ablout the ABL. He said they are working very hard to get it right to be available when production starts on March 16th. Quote "My staff is working on it right now"

okay serious question about this. what exactly does ABL fully entail? obviously the lighting goes all the way around the plastic panels into the console and then speedometer etc. is ABL all of this or just the mood lighting in the side panels. Will the console and speedometer continue to light up even if the worst happens and ABL isnt there initially?

To me, that's bad news. If ABL was fully functional then what harm would it do to say "Yes, the option that was promised with your car is there"? That's like me asking if Brembo's will still be on the SS and you say "Can't tell ya, I like my job too much."

I don't see the humor in the post when it implies we will not be getting what was promised. I'm glad everyone else here doesn't seem to care though.

Call me optimistic, call me a dreamer, or you can call me lucky, but I just have this feeling. The feeling I have is not a feeling of worry or concern. It's a feeling of "Hey, I'm confident that ABL is going to be a reality by the start of production". Won't say that I'm always right, but I am more often than not, correct about these fuzzy little feelings I have.

I believe GM is going to come through on this, and if I'm wrong, you can blame me. BUT if it just happens to be right, then all the worry-warts will have to pay-up (in the form of kudos).

One interesting that that I was told by Scott's lovely assistant was that Ambient Lighting is now restricted to the door panels and no longer is in the dashboard trim. I don't know if that was mentioned before, but it was news to me.
