here it is. this is an LS3 with : cam, adm cai, stock exhaust system with muffler delete, dyno tune.

yes, it only made 374rwhp and 361rwtq. i dont mean to be a downer, but ive been there, done that. i hope you have a better outcome . it even sounded wierd when it was on the dyno..

when it was all finished, i made 450rwhp on the dyno that had my base run of 355rwhp when it was stock

I hope you're wrong, but you are speaking from experience, but I can't wait to find out for sure. My gut tells me I'll be ok. If not, I guess it's deeper in debt quicker than I wanted to be!

I'm interested in seeing your numbers. I am going with the same cam, but have WCCH stage 2 heads, 2" headers, no cats, cai, ported TB and intake and obviously a tune.

Headers aren't that expensive unless you go with Kooks or ARH! They are some that are under $500! Won't hurt to bad!!!

I'm guessing around 4 bills plus or minus 10rwhp. All depends on the dyno and conditions. Also, dont go into debt for the headers, just save up. Chasing numbers on a dyno is a lesson in misery. Be happy with what you have and upgrade when your funds are available. Post some videos when you get it tuned, id like to hear it.

Mods to the car last dyno. LS3 with Solo cats, 2 1/2" x pipe and flowmasters. Result in not so great air 386/386 on same dyno car is about to go back on. (i will have new dyno before cam for as close to apples to apples as possible)
Only change since is the addition of a CAI cold air kit. A reasonable gues for current numbers in a little better air with cold air box would be around 400-405 I would guess. Car has run 12.54 @112 at about 1200 DA.

Now for the tricky part.

I came across a good deal on a new G6X3. Cam and tune are the only things being added (other than supporting springs, pushrods, upper gear, etc). The car will NOT have headers installed at this time. So all mods will be G6X3, Solo cats, xpipe, flowmasters, cutom tune. So how much will it make without headers? How much will manifolds kill it...or will they? I know some will think I am stupid, crazy, or both. Maybe so, but I'm gonna find out.
That is a Big Cam, and Big Cams and Exhaust manifolds Don't Get along At All.

The Exhaust gases will Contaminate your intake charge, due to Reversion.

You need the Long Tube Headers to Properly Scavenge the Spent Exhaust gases from the Chamber and Keep Exhaust gases from backing up in to the intake manifold during Overlap.

As much fun as this sounds like, it is a BAD IDEA.

Do the Headers Now or you will be tuning Twice, and Tuning Cost Money.

Ted.

Don't let the cynics win . I did cam first and a bunch of C5 guys who probably read to many magazines and have laptop dyno programs said it was backwards , stupid etc. There are a lot of "experts" on this forum and also a few experts .
I just wanted to experiment , anyway I picked up 26 horse with a conservative cam . BTW I think the cats are way more of a restriction than the manifolds .
Go for it , you can add headers any time , I did and they really woke the car up . Unfortunately I never dynoed it after . No freakin' time .
Now I'm torn down redoing my stripped gears , swapping out the fuel pump and adding a turbo .
