I'm curious to know what you drive right now...just to use it's trunk space as a measure for you.

But until then, how about this? These are all the cargo space measurements of cars than have been put forward recently as considered competitors for the Camaro (**and a couple just for comparison's sake):

All in cubic feet.
Chevy Camaro: 11.x
Infiniti G37: 7.4
Ford Mustang: 13.4
Challenger: N/A (they only provide a number with the seats folded down.)
Hyundai Genesis: 10.0
Nissan 370z: 6.9
**Chevy Cobalt: 13.9
**Chevy Impala: 18.6

I remember one Thread a guy measured 18 inches from top to bottom. Someone was building speakers and needed to know. There are plenty of pics and measurements out there.

The measurements of the opening I got were 34'' wide by 15.5'' deep (pretty tight opening). The inside of the trunk is fairly large though, IMO: 57'' diagonal, 54'' at widest point, 47'' wide between the wheel wells. 'Hope that helps.

we did not fold the seat down. Loaded it all through the trunk.

Didn't think it would all fit, but it did. Surprising how much we could pack and leave the seat up.

LOL... Can Mrs #3 come teach my wife how to pack? I'd like to just get one set of clubs on our first trip.

The Challenger has a hugemungous trunk, i looked at it at the Autoshow, big opening, big trunk. I mean several bodies will fit in there (i say screw cubic feet, tell me how many bodies will fit in there).

Trunk Dimensions: Curious about something...

If this is a stupid question, disregard it I guess. I'm really just curious.

So I'm curious. Do we know the dimensions of the space for the spare? For that matter, do we know the dimensions of the trunk or just its volume?

I'm wondering because I'm not planning on racing my SS or anything. Just want something fast and the lack of a spare seems kind of weird to me. Yes, I know why they're doing it, but I'm wondering how practical it would/wouldn't be to carry a full size spare if I feel like I need it for a trip to be safe.

So for that matter, do we know the dimensions/weight of the 20" wheel + tire?
