I think he was just referring to the blacked out bowties like you & I have. IBM + black stripes looks sweet BTW.

To the OP: I say get what you want. If you can afford to get the 45th edition, do it! You don't want to look back at the experience and say, "Man, I should have gotten xyz over what I have."

I couldn't decide on color for the life of me. I had my dealer looking for synergy green but never found one in my price range. I was then torn between CGM and red. To be honest, I still hadn't decided what color I wanted when the salesman said, "Ok, so what color car are we looking for?" I picked on a whim, but SO glad I went with CGM over VR. I think it just suits me.

So, long story short... when you know, you know. It'll just feel right.

You don't need a new Camaro but you are getting one anyway, so get the SS.

The problem is, i'm 18 years old. And no, I'm not a spoiled teen who's parents buy the car for me. I am buying this with my own money and so my question is, does someone like me need a 45th anniversary? I was looking forward to doing some mods on my Camaro such as exhaust, intake, and i wanted to put a black chevy emblem on my CGM. First off, that wouldnt look good on an imperial blue and second, i think it would ruin the value of the 45th more than just a standard car. What do you guys think i should do?
You won't ruin the value of the 45th by modding it any more than you would another Camaro. This is a mass produced package with tremendous value, and lots will be built. In 50 years or so, it might be worth more than you paid for it if you don't drive it and keep it pristine ...

Get what you want!

You might want to get some insurance quotes first.
