But even though I may have to fight, I think I at least have a chance to prove my bolt-on mods did not cause a problem.

For me, once my car reaches about 25k and the drivetrain is sound I will stop worrying about the drive train warranty and get a tune.

I also have to wonder just what is abuse in a Camaro? After all Chevy included Launch Control, an abuse enabler.

And my bolt-on SS runs great and is much faster than stock. But probably running a little rich. I would love to disable torque management and get my A/F in order. But for me right now the tune consequences are too dire.

And to the OP, if your warranty is your first concern do not add any bolt-ons. Stick to floor mats and gas cap covers. You have to pay to play sometimes.

By the way Ted, those BFEs are awsome as you said they woudl be. Thanks.
My car picked up about 30 hp with a tune. The baseline pull was like 403 rwhp before the tune.

You will be blown away when you feel the difference.

They could just as easily say running your mods without the tune caused a failure because of the a/f ratio etc.

IMO once you add long tubes they are going to void you. Why not just do the tune?

Good point about the A/F ratio. The additional power also will put more stress on the drivetrain.

With LTs and cats some dealers will void you, and some will not. Many threads on this topic. With a tune all of them will void you unless they installed it. No dealers near me like that. I do not intend to bring this up with my dealer unless something big goes wrong internally with my engine.

30 rwhp from just a tune? I have not seen before and after dynos like that except involving power adders.

I am not against a tune. I know it will add to the fun and is a good thing with my mods. I plan to put at least 25k on my car first to make sure I do not have some deep assembly or weak part problem. And I have something to look forward to.
