Yup. Basically I just don't trust the gas where I am. That and if the pump only has one hose coming off of it your gas won't be 93. It will have a little bit of whatever the last guy used still in it.

Don't get me wrong. Even without popping the clutch I can do a hellacious burnout for a good 50 ft no problem. I just feel like the car should do more of a burnout at a roll with no clutch assistance at all. But its to do with torque management.

ls3 is limited under 3k in tq. you can gain slot of tq back from 2-3k by tuning.

x2...Shouldn't be getting stuck on a shitty tune when you're always running premium. TA doesn't do that and the motor is fine after 180,000 miles. The gas isn't that bad a quality, not around here at least.

Hose holds how much? 1-2 quarts? If you buy 15 gallons that means at most 7% of the gas is from the last person. If you buy 15 gallons and you get 2 quarts of 87 your octaine rating will average out to 92.6. If this is such a concern, most pumps do not zero out the customer before you. Just drive around until you find one where the last person bought premium.

I'm getting ripped off at costco then, they have those long hoses that can go on either side of the car...
