If you mash it with the traction control on....

and you start to spin will the traction control lights activate in the tach area? I had a 2000 vette with traction control and this system seems different.

I'm just not that familiar with the Camaros.

question:

are you leaving all the TC/ST systems on?

meaning you get in the car, start it then try to roast the tires?

or are you turning TC off? (one press of the button) or comp mode (two presses of the button) or everything off (hold button down for 7 sec)?

The traction control lights come on when they are de-activated. I seem to spin wheels quite often for some reason with TC on all the time.

Getting the car, start it and never touch the button. As I pull out of the subdivision I mash it and it starts to spin (or acts like it) and three lights activate on the tach side (all amber color) and stay on for a bit then go off. I was thinking they activate when the traction control is in use.

I haven't tried to roast my tires yet. I am waiting until it's about time to replace a set. Then I'm going to have one epic burnout, and pray that I don't blow a tire.

Like Ravens said,

when the traction control "gives up" you get the light show. With all that extra power, wou can get the tires spinning faster than TC/ST can compensate... I think it may be RPM related as well. Once you get to 4K with enough spin, I think TC/ST turns off.

Try this.. In first gear let the car idle down the road with your foot off the gas. Then just floor it.. it should fall flat on its face then start to pull... That is when the system is working to keep the car under control.

Hope that helps!

Be sure and post up a review once you get used to it. We all would love to hear what you think of your new car.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my next
Track fix.
