My dealer (Reliable Chevrolet) called me last night and told me they have a 6 cylinder Camaro in their showroom now..evidently they are the first dealer in the Springfield MO area to have one.

No idea on when my order (3/27/09) will get pulled, but I am a patient man.

Somebody up there at GM hates me..!

... So I just talked to a GM CSR. "Hi. Yes, me again. Uh huh. Delivery status please... a car... uh huh.. Camaro... uh huh... ".

I was told that the car is built and ready to go... BUT... this car, and car lots full of Camaro's, are on hold.

A friend of a friend of a friend who works security at the Oshawa plant confirms that the lots are full of Camaros.. !

Appernetly this all has to do with the big May 6th roll-out. She thinks that maybe the cars will be shipped soon in time for a May 6th unveiling at dealers.

May 6. May 6. May 6.

This is worse than waiting for the final episode of Battlestar Galactica... or the new Star Trek (May 8th by the way!)... or the new Transformers Movie...

This doesn't apply to us, none of the dealers I visited in Montreal have information on this. Orangeinfernoman just got his car, so you should be getting your too !!

Chevrolet in Canada has no plans to participate in the " National " roll out in another country. Cars are being delivered in Canada NOW.

MODS! Mark should get his own topic for the forums... we'll call it Mark's ARRGH Report :]....

But seriously.... the only thing we can do is circle the national unveil date on our calender set a reminder on that date in our cell phones.... and sleep without worry until then... And if you get the call that your Camaro is there before May 6th then you'll feel like x-mas happend a week early....

St. Louis dealers sent out invites today for the private Camaro unveil on May 20th. Not sure why it's so much later...

I haven't found any dealers around OKC that are doing an unveil on May 6th. If they have cars they are showing and selling them now anywhere from $4K to $10K over sticker. One dealer in Blanchard is having a Camaro day tomorrow. Another dealer told me that they aren't doing anything but that GM was supposed to be doing something big on tv on the 9th. Has anyone heard anything about that?
