Zip ties are the way to go

Much easier with bumper off. I have billet grilles in front of my stockers so I just zip tied the led strips to the old grills facing backwards. Reflects nicely off the rad. I'm sure their are ways to zip tie it so not seen from the front with stock grills. I get my power from the jump start battery terminal in the engine compartment, drivers side, and fuse it. I did RGB and AAC RGB fogs. Then I got carried away and did my own matching wheel lights, footwells and back up lights...

For the ground I took my radiator cover off, used one of the pre-drilled holes that the 6 plastic tabs slide into for taking the front fascia off. used a small metal file on the inside of the hole to get the paint off. stuck my wire down in there and put the tab back on. Voila!

you can reach the front brace pretty easy if you take the radiator cover off (I have huge hands and it wasnt a problem. no need to take the front fascia off, unless you really want to.), 3m tape and a zip tie for "peace of mind" There is one hole in the middle of the front brace that a small zip tie fits perfectly.

Just my set up

Thanks cyberLS for showing that spot for power. I just put in my Engine Bay LED Kit last night and used that as a power source. Worked out great!

That's what I am thinking. No switch, or is that terminal switched on/off?

ok guys ill chime in to see if i can help, There are a few ways so wire these up, ill try and post pictures of what im talking about when i get off work.
POWER
You can wire the positive by using the terinmal post showin above (when i did it this way i hooked up a controller and it was always on) or you can use a piggy-back fuse tap and connect to the 33 fuse (always on need switch) or the 15 (i believe will check when i get home) fuse which DOES NOT need a switch [only active when key is in ignition].
Ground
As far as grounds go i used the ECM/Engine ground which is about 1 foot down on the right inboard side of the Fuse block on the frame. with this gorund i didnt need to drill/tap any screw just used a ring terimnal and bolt it back in.

Hope this help and ill add pics

i have a remote to control them going on and off, you can also connect a switch which should be to hard either.

I am new to all this DIY stuff, but I was wondering if you could do most light mods with led tape. Seems like it would be so versatile. If you can....does anyone know what voltage rating I should go with on the tape, and if I would need transformers etc. I definitely don't want to do anything to fry my electrical system. It just seems like you could do, grill light, engine light, door kick plate light, foot well light, illuminated cup holders...and the list goes on with that stuff. Please give me your thoughts.

Can you provide a link to the type of tape you are thinking of? I'd be interested in using something like this, too... I am not an electrical expert, but I'd assume that any 12 V DC lighting would work...
