If you follow my line of thinking ...

5.0 Mustangs are winners because there are Camaro SS's driving the streets.

conversely ...
Camaro SS's are winners because there are 5.0 Mustangs cruising the highways.

Kudos to BOTH Pony cars!

Don't come in here and try to build some kind of bond between the two camps. How dare you? We need the useless 5.0 vs. SS bickering to continue!!!

Both the Camaro and Mustang are owned by Brian Murphy (Co-Owner of BBK/Brothers Performance). His Camaro has always been a little light on the power. When we tested their LT's on my car the base # on my car was 373-378 rwhp. When we added the LT's and CAI it put me up to 412/412. I haven't had a chance to get the TB tested yet but if I could get the 10hp/9tq I'd be pretty happy.

I had BBK put me in their system to get me a TB when it is released. They said 6-8 weeks. If it makes a few HP it will be worth it for me. I will get a before and after done at JRE to keep the variables to a minumum.

I saw this video over the weekend and kudos to both cars. I hate to say it but ford seems to have pulled their head out of their.....the sand. The new engines are great and the next models across the board are going to be lighter. GM better have some tricks up their sleeves that we dont know about yet.

What confused me about the video is the initial dyno and the dyno they stated their numbers off of were different. What is up with that? They also said there would be a final review of the numbers but there was no total. You have to get your pencil and paper to see the totals. All in all it was a great video to see very similar cars compared fairly. Just dont worry about Motor Trend paying the bills and say it....HP - Mustang Win. TQ - Camaro Win. Overall gain - Camaro Win. 2 out of 3 - CAMARO WINS!!!

How much horsepower does a blonde bimbo who put 12 hours of thought into wearing the appropriate tank top add to each car?

I joke... I joke. She doesn't add horsepower. It's actually that the tank top enhanced the information in the car movie.

As far as sandbagging... Um 98-02 Fbody much? I owned a 2002 TA WS6 so I can safely say it was underrated. That car was awesome. Heck who am I kidding all these cars we are talking about are pretty awesome

mine was 375 on a conservative dynojet in huntsville.398 with offroad x and tune, 410 with cai, offroad x and tune.

the ls3 will dyno the same imo.

In truth, the only comparo testing that has any real value is when the cars are run on the same dyno and on the same day.

It seemed like a fair comparison.

Overall (with bolt ons) the Camaro was up 26 ft. lbs over the Mustang. The Mustang was only up 5 hp

But unfortunately, the 5.0 is a lighter weight car which gives it the advantage (all over factors remaining the same).
