Cold air intake when a good one comes out is usually a good performance buy

dont listen to the naysayers that you should have gotten a v8.

For a few grand - headers, cat back and CAI. then wait for someone to provide a tune and that will really wake things up.

I completely agree with Mojave. For a few grand that is the best bang for you buck. + on a v6 the gain should be pretty noticeable. you might also try a different gear ratio ???

I purchased the 2LT for a few reasons. Strapped for cash, insurance, and I will still smoke the new 2010 GT Mustang V8.
Look Im no mustang fan but there is no way in hell you can outrun a V8 mustang just cause you have bout the same hp doesnt mean your as fast less torque+more wieght = you lose

how bout you start with a older car and work up to a camaro, seams to me your spoiled if you already have a couple grand in your pocket. I mean why not pay off the camaro or trade it in for a v8 if you want the power. Good thing you are not a child of mine!

He was talking about installing exhaust, intake, cam, headers AND a tune? Hell yeah he'll beat a stock Mustang GT. He'll have far more HP/Torque at that point.

OP- I started out in a very similar position as you when I got my first camaro.(Got lots of flack for wanting to mod a 305 but that's how you learn) Be patient and do what you can afford. You have to start somewhere and nobody is giving crap to the guys for modding there SS instead of just buying a Z06. Start with a nice exhaust and intake as they become available and then get a tune. Maybe some suspension upgrades after that. If your like most young modders then by the time you have completed these changes and gotten board you will be old enough to trade it in for your next toy. Thanks for buying American and Congrats!
