I love that color and the flat black stripes. The wheels are pretty cool too. But this one has a solid rear axle like you said. We still dont know about the 2010 mustang though.

I was reading through some of the stuff on those links and something jumped out at me that scared me a little bit...
Ford is developing a dual clutch tranny.... like the one in the GT-R

That could be trouble...

I want one in the camaro >.>

Oh yes, please let them try. Talk about nail in the coffin, could you imagine the R&D money they would spend on that endeavor, and to actually make it functional and reliable so they don't lose tons of cash? Please keep in mind that Godzilla is not being mass-produced (to the numbers that the Mustang and Camaro anyway)....you mass produce a tranny that complex and have to warranty it....big red numbers.

i was looking around for comparisons for the Camaro vs Mustang and i came accross Car and Drivers actual tests for each generation, plus specialty models and whatnot.

the camaro beat the mustang in hp in all but 2 of them, (one they had a v-8 mustang vs a v-6 camaro, so its not completely fair), and beat the mustang overall 9 times out of 13 attempts. the only mustangs that won were the fox body ones vs the IROC-Z of the time (which was heavy as hell compared to the mustang), and one of the 2nd gen ones.

i just think its hilarious that ford retards...i mean owners, are willing to pay all this extra money for the crap that they recieve as a final product.

sorry, just ranting.
the thing that jumped out at me however is that this ISN'T a SC engine... it is just a tuned 5.4L V8... that'll make the GT500 chassis less front heavy... even for a live axle rear end this car would be an amazing handler... imagine taking the S/C off of the current 500 and then beating it into the ground... with 300 less lbs on the car I'm betting it handles amazingly... this would be an issue for the camaro... #1 the mustang pictured here (i know it isn't a production model so please don't go there...) weighs as much as a Corvette... with 390hp... the 400 hp Camaro WOULDN'T keep up no matter what that is an amazing hp/lb ratio for the mustang... the camaro would be easily beaten in the 1/4 and 0-60 times... #2 if Ford come out with a Pony car that weighs this much with an IRS (which is rumored in the next gen mustang) setup then expect the camaro to be housed in the corners as well as in the straights... the HP means nothing if you have too much weight under it... if it was a 450-475 HP camaro at 3800lbs against a 390Hp 3200-3300lbs Mustang it might be enough to make up for the weight... Just did the calculations... if the mustang has 3200lbs it comes in at a 8.2lbs/hp the 450 HP camaro comes in at 8.4lbs/Hp so that is what we're looking at for it to be competitive... in the corners the mustang might show it's trimmer weight with better cornering... If a mustang like this makes it into production Chevy is in trouble...

oh and btw... i think this mustang looks mean... :-)

^ The Mustang GT (current) weighs 3600 - 3800 depending on options. It will be interesting to see if they really strip that much weight out. I still can't make myself want a solid rear axle (before platform overall in a few years). Good numbers.

Wait where are they getting all these numbers for this boss from?

Because I don't think the boss will be too similar to this since this one was a modded mustang by a shop.

DCT: C7 Corvette is supposed to get one. That's what I read a looooong time ago. I'll see if I can pull it up again...
