Very nice. Looks so much better with the black bezels or no bezels. Never really understood why chrome accents here and no where else. Good job Aby!

I knew soon after getting my car that the chrome bezels around the tail lights just had to go. I first removed them and put black door trim molding in its place as a temporary solution. Today I painted the bezels and love this more permanent solution.

I used slightly different paints than Themossman did. I wanted a little bit of a shinier look than he did. I used Dupli-Color DS-104 (universal flat black) and Dupli-Color DS-125 (Clear top coat) to give it a little bit of a shine.

With Stock Chrome Bezels:

With door trim molding:

Painted bezels:

That looks great.
I am doing the same thing next week when the paintshop puts on the replacement front GFX lip.

Looks like the Phantom grill from Aftermarket Anarchy - see this thread first post - http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47399 - if not its darn close - looks great along with the two-tone upper & lower halves - not to high-jack Abygale's thread...

You know I never understood why Chevy made those back light bezels chrome. All of the other light trim was blacked out. All of those rear bezels should match the front grill colour.

The grilles are made by T-Rex. You can buy them seperately. They come in chrome and black in the "phantom" style. I went here because they didn't charge tax or shipping.

Thanks everyone. The painting wasn't bad.....I did three coats of adhesive promoter, five light coats of the flat black and three coats of the clear coat. It took a few hours to do with drying time between coats, but well worth it. The bezels go back in MUCH easier than they come out

5th Gen....that is a great looking car. I love the front grill and the paint job. They really need to clean up the back end though and get rid of that chrome

Thank you, That part is getting done this coming week. The smoke tail lights are on order. The blackout stripe was put on last night. A metallic graphite pinstripe at the black/orange transition is being painted on next week as well. There are a bunch of others things on the list to do before SEMA.

SSOOCH, have you thought about charging people for your comments? You could be rich!

I made $10,000 last month and quit my job.
