I can't say bad or good about the other two, but I love my Hurst.

I have an MGW and it is perfect. A well built and precise piece of equipment.

I just installed my MGW this weekend and its fantastic. Totally changes the driving experience of the car for the better. The more I drive it now, the more spoiled I get, the more I dislike the feel of the stock shifter.

Haven't had a chance to compare personally with the MTI, but the MGW is a solid piece of equipment that you won't regret.

I just installed MTI shifter in my camaro and I have to say I'm a bit disappointed there is no big difference between it and the stock shifter when driving around you can feel some positive change at WOT but for the amount I paid for it I expected much more.The good stuff that it's quite no noises at all from it and my stock shifter used to have some vibration at idle with this one it's gone.
As for MGW I don't know never tried them.

Jeanius- Im not trying to be snide but im assuming you haven't used anything else other then the MGW, so for you to say it's greater then everything else is...... well just Read post #5 and post #17 from people who have used/installed more then just the MGW..here is the link http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58612

As for post #17 in that thread, the guy needs to grow a pair and let it break in. We installed the MGW in our car and it's tight at first but the springs BREAK IN. As George at MGW said, the springs were put stiff KNOWING that they would loosen over time and provide excellent shifting all around once broken in. My girlfriend has been daily driving the car with no issues with the MGW for around a month now.

MGW = full replacement
MTI = shift handle replacement

No comparison between the two.

LOL Im not being dead serious when I post that its greater than everything else, I havent tried any other shifter for the 5th gen but have driven a hurst equipped 4th gen and others.

My opninion is The stock assembly is really a joke, and replacing just the stick is not enough.

You already spent 30k+ on the car, you SHOULD drop another 150 to replace the whole assembly.

Oh and did anyone mention that the MGW also has an adjustable throw?

I agree the stock shifter was the worst design of the whole car. I went with the Barton and It made all the difference in the world, I dont agree that you have to use the MGW to get an awesome shift, because I know first hand you dont. On a design and manufacturing stand point is the MGW worth the Money YES, is the MTI or Hurst NO, is the Barton YES.

Is the knob in the install pics the knob that came with the shifter?

The knob is the "race" knob he offers with the shifter. You can reuse the stock, get this one, there is one called the "gripper" and he is now offering the "race" version from his Z06 shifters and a new retro 6spd "ball" grip.
