I really hate to bring up one of THESE threads but... I need help deciding on color

This vote seems to be quite unanimous! I'll be conjuring up a photoshop tomorrow of black with orange sticks, then. Keep throwing in your input, guys!

I think you should get the Orange.

(disclaimer - no offense to people with Black cars, I think they're HOT)

I've been thinking about color for a while now...and black was one of 5 "finalists" () because it made the Camaro look so sinister and sleek. But it came down to a few things I didn't like about it:

First, and most important (to me), is that it tends to hide the beautiful body lines of the car. They spent so much time tweaking and adjusting things to be just perfect and so close to the concept that I fell in love with -- it'd be a shame to cover all that up in black.

Second: Black, even with orange stripes, will blend in with the many other cars on the road...not really an issue, because it's YOUR car and YOU need to like it without worrying about everybody else. But on the same token, I like to stand out a little when its in a car worth standing out in.

And finally: It looks brilliant when Zaino'd and kept dustless. Almost like black glass....but it's a b!tch to look at and keep clean the other 95% of the time.

For what its worth, those are my thoughts.

Same title would work, or something along the lines of it if you have to change it (surprise me) and the choices...

I'm going to get IOM because its a more eye-catching color and according to spasticsquirrel, about 25% of all camaros produced so far have been black...more than any other color...just a thought.

If I look at your pros/cons as they stand...black wins, but..."Might up my insurance" and "Might be more costly to repair if there are any damages than black" are unknowns, check with your insurance company to see if there is a difference.

Knock out the "ifs" and "mights" and you'll get a better idea of what is right for you because your pros/cons list will be simplified.

Personally, I have been struggling with IOM vs RJT (leaning towards the IOM) but now White with IOM stripes has been creeping in my mind! decision, decisions, lol!

Whatever you pick, its a beautiful car and a head-turner in ever color.

Yeah nUc, it sucks...I guess it's a good thing I'm going to Iraq late this year. I can pay my Tahoe off a year early and I won't buy my Camaro until almost the 2012 model year is out anyway...I have plenty of time to think about it, LOL!
