Readiness checks, yes, they will need time to pass (evap test can bite me, FYI), but otherwise the car should run tip-top right off the bat if everything is where it should be.

What he said. PE tables dont change. I assume that people think WOT will change over time.

Although that's sort of a grey subject, since a positive trim can and will carry over. Easy to avoid though!

correct, WOT is immediate...

I'm talking about normal, part-throttle driving, response, acceleration, etc... the response of the car does get better, as the fuel trims are re-learned and settle in as you put on miles...

I guess my point is that it shouldn't take time to do it. Oh well, I don't feel like getting into it.

I have a LS3, with it being a manual, its hard to feel the gains. How much HP did I gain when I added the Diablo 91 octane tune? I have a Airaid CAI and Muffler delete also.

For an M6 SS with LT headers and a Halltech CAI, will the Diabo 93 tune be OK to run until dyno tuned? Or is that tune more aimed at completely stock exhaust and intake?

I have a custom tune coming for my header and CAI, and I have a Predator. I need to get my OE cal into the predator to send that file to the tuner. Should I leave the Diablo 93 tune in my ECM while waiting for the custom tune?

This is pretty technical in here in regards of this but I would tend to sway towards the fact you won't get "a lot" of HP increase but a small increase that you may not even notice. That's just my opinion but I'm sure the tehcy guys here can expalin in more detail what you need to get "a lot" more HP.

Regards

the tune will run fine with those mods... you'll notice a nice improvment..

you might throw a CEL tho - will just need to get a custom tune made in order to disable the rear O2 codes because of the LT headers...

running the diablo tune in the car while you wait for your "custom" tune will be perfectly fine... there are no issues with the tunes..

Thanks, I did notice a nice improvement. Much snappier when romping on it. That's probably the biggest thing I noticed, the throttle response seems more instant.

I had poor results with the Predator on my former 05 GTO, around town the throttle response was improved, the car "felt" quicker...BUT...the stock pred tune detonated and pulled timing consistently when going WOT. Things "seemed" to get better when I adjusted the slope, took care of the timing pull but was disheartened when on the dyno it was below my previous stock pulls by -20rwhp. We loaded back the stock tune after a few lousy pulls and gained all the hp right back (340's)......gave the predator another try a few weeks later with a custom email tune and again it fell a couple hp short to the stock rwhp.....loaded the stock tune back in the car, enjoyed the increased *stock* tune hp and put the predator up for sale.....

IMO, nice tool for logging data/clearing codes, but left me very disappointed in making power.

sounds like you had some KR issues in that GTO, thats certainly not the norm for feedback from LS2 GTO guys...

I installed my predator about 130 miles ago(amazing how fast u put miles on) Quicker throttle response I agree/. But when I'm in second and running about 3000 rpm and go wot it nearly throws me into the back seat. I haven't had it dynoed but I feel thorough my a** I got my moneys worth. Next is Montes custom tweek. Thanks for your quick responses, both Monte and Mike, your CS is a+
