the v6 will prolly still beat it due to the setup, however a more knowledge car enthusiast can easily trump my verdict
the v6 Camaro will have no shot at beating the new STI, or let alone the new WRX. Now the V8 is a whole different story.

I didn't mean to offend you. Just my feelings after driving the EVO and regular WRX. I know STI has more power due to a bigger 2.5L vs 2.0L. Without the turbo it's still a 4 cylinder. So until the turbo kicks in there is just not much there. I'd rather have a broad torque curve so I can cruise at 2k with plenty of power then have a peaky narrow power band. That's just what it felt like to me. It was an ON/OFF type of feeling as far as power. I like the look of the 05. Even my friends who used to own WRXs don't like the latest generation's looks.

What are they doing to the WRX? When I had my V6 I was able to keep up with my friends WRX.

frankly i think GM is learning from how shibby the suspension was on the G8 and improving it.

since the suspension (based on posts over at grrrr8.net) sucks, and quite a few people are going with the peddlers option

Looks like the current WRX does 14.5. 40 more hp should put it in low 14s just like the 3.6 Camaro.

I've driven one and was pretty impressed... I don't think they will be stealing and Camaro sales, but I can see the Camaro stealing some of theirs.
