I took prefer the "clean look", re; no ground effects, etc..

That being said, I think GM did a great job with their SEMA Camaro's.

I'd be proud to own any one of them. The D.E. Jr. one was a little "extravagant" for my tastes, but it's stll a Camaro.

GM has to appeal to a wide market with the new Camaro. Hence, the cars have to reflect the various "tastes" of potential Camaro owners. I think they did a good job.

The LS7 concept was the shit
Wouldn't be surprise if that was the future Z28

Loved them all, with a nod to BLACK. Paint the hood shiny like the rest of the car, and you would make the perfect car for my driveway. Seriously, I am in love with that car.

THE CONCEPT'S SHIFTER

Seriously, is it going to be THAT difficult to find this mod?
are you married? have a girlfriend with a curling iron? go turn that curling iron on and leave it until it gets to the highest temp it gets to... then go in there and wrap your hand around the hot iron part and see how that feels... because that's EXACTLY what the Concept's shifter would feel like if it were in a production car on a hot Summer day.

GM didn't offer that in the production car and they wont offer it in the aftermarket for a reason: its impractical... I'm quite POSITIVE that someone in the aftermarket (Kirbin, B&M, etc.) will offer a clone of the Concept's shifter... and if its made of metal, I suggest you keep a towel in the glove box or center console to grab that shifter with or cover that shifter with on sunny days... because otherwise, the hot curling iron scenario that I laid out above is the cheaper way to get your trip to the emergency room with 1st degree burns on your hand.

nope... not at all.

the LS7 is perfect... the only thing the could have done to make it more perfect would have been to paint it in red jewel tintcoat instead of victory red... other than that, its the perfect interior and exterior appearance.

the Dale, Jr., car is a little over the top, but still tolerable... its NOTHING like what I would order... but there are a ton of people who will... and its a good design study to show what is capable with the body lines of the car.

the Camaro GS race car is in a tie for the most perfect Camaro at SEMA... and its my favorite of the cars... with the exception of the engine bay, there is nothing but perfection throughout this car... the spoiler, the color, the stance, the wheels, EVERYTHING... its just exactly what its supposed to be and it does the deed with style.

the Black car is the only one that I think could be considered ricey... there are some parts of it that just seem pointless... I'm not a fan of ground effects and black wheels, so this car just doesn't appeal to me... but it DOES appeal to about a million other folks... and the effect itself is very good... the fact that its a V6 makes it closer to rice than any of the other cars... but I define rice as excessive and pointless... and this car does not fit into either one of those decriptions.

The LS7 Camaro is a dangerous-looking monster.

With regard and respect to your other opinions, I have to also disagree. While the GS isn't my personal style—clean lines, few shapes, minimal text—it appeals to some crowds that may not be represented by the crowd that the production model boasts. For example, the GS model may appeal to a more classical or even a modern professional racing crowd. Putting some of those colors and numbers on the car legitimizes it as a racer in their eyes. For me, it's still a Camaro. I'd rock the GS, even though my choice in the black one, which features many of GMPP's options, including the ground effects kit.

In any case, they aren't all intended to appeal to the same crowd. There's bound to be some overlap, but the truth is that Chevrolet has worked hard on this car, and it must sell for GM to start making a profit again. Inasmuch, GM must at least pitch this car to every conceivable enthusiast group for it to make a big splash.
