Here are just a few pictures where I have polished the damage out of the paint. No wax was used in any of these pictures. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Wax is a protectant, not a shining agent.

I hope it's safe to ask on this thread...but what polish would be recommended? Is there different types of polish?

![]() J/K Obviously there are different brands, but there are also different kinds of polish. Leaving out stuff like metal polish, you're gonna have a spectrum of polishes that are complimented by various grades of polishing pads. Polishes can range from VERY aggressive, noticeably gritty compounds, down to finishing and finessing products with a whole range in between. Along with that the pads range in degrees of cut as well so between your selection of pads and polishes you an endless possibility of combinations to get you the desired result. |

^- What Dylan said.
I have 8 different polishes in my garage, they all have different cut and flash times (working time). I match the polish / compound / pads with the job at hand.

I guess what I meant was that when I go to the Adam's website (
) under the wax and polish section, there's a bunch of products there. I was hoping somebody could point out which one would be recommended.

I highly recommend the Adam's Hand Polishing Kit for new users. Comes with everything you need to get started. I recommend the Americana upgrade too - the extra $40 for the Americana is a great deal, and 1 pot will last forever! Buttery is a great wax, but 4 bottles won't last nearly as long as 1 pot of americana. If your going the machine polishing route (sooo much easier than hand polishing).. I'd go for the Adam's Premium kit once you've gotten the Adam's bug it gets quite pricey... Just buying the huge kit saves a ton of money for shipping of multiple orders.
