We suggest spraying before the TB (just after the mass air meter) to eliminate the possibility of this problem occurring.

Everyone is very worried about their warranty when using meth, however, everyone has forgotten that once your stock 3.8" pulley is changed for anything else (and I can guarantee there is hardly anyone left running this pulley), this will void your warranty.

I've been spraying just like Meister has suggested. Before the TB and after the maf. The blower is off the car now and has been inspected by Jannetty and I haven't heard anything bad so I'm assuming its good to go. Maybe pm or ask Ted to look at my blower or even take some pics. Its been getting meth for a year. I'd be curious to see how its holding up.

Correct me if I am wrong, but aren’t pistons cheaper than a new blower? Let’s just get somebody in the Lincoln area to carry 93 octane. Then you could make 600 whp.
Change the pistons and stay off the meth.

We've always put the jets in the inlet tube.between TB and MAF. Problem still there.I was told the coating can hold the methenol.

supercharged -let us know how yours is. I know the blower is off your car but I doubt Ted was going to pull it completely apart to see the rotors.Good time to do it though.

But I will tell you, methanol itself, is highly corrosive, and if it gets to a certain mixture of oxygen, water and meth, it will turn to acid and eat everything in its path. As long as the motor runs for a moment with the meth system off, this will not be a problem, but I've seen some systems that don't have check valves and during vacuum (idle, shut off, highway), it will suck the water/meth from the system and then when you shut the car off, it will sometimes eat chunks of material. So just make sure you run a check valve so you don't get any leakage.
All of the systems I have every used had check valves or boost blows the liquid back to the tank at low boost settings.

Then you get a delay on delivery.

I have seen the affects of corrosion when the system is not set up properly.

I had a customer with a Procharger system, with water meth and no check valve, All the Charge pipes are Bare Steel inside, Guess How much rust went through the engine

We took the pipes off and poured the rust out of the pipes in chunks.

Bought new pipes, had them coated, and installed a check valve all is good now.

Ted.

^^ interesting... Wish you had pics...

All systems I've installed are with the Check Valve.

Meth is corrosive, I usually run a 50/50 mix, works well in most applications...

Hey don, I'm sorry, I was under the assumption you could see everything you needed without taking apart the blower. I never realized you needed to do that in order to see the rotors. I don't think that was done. I guess time will tell now. I guess it's a gd thing I stopped with the 100% meth. That can't help the situation any.

It's sucks because it can really use it to make the power and have a reliable engine combo.
