Sorry you're having these issues with the top. These posts are what are keeping me from buying a convertible. I hope GM is listening to you all and getting this fixed, because I am sure I'm not the only one who isn't buying them because of the issues.

Hopefully this revised document gets all of you guys covered for this and you can all have good looking and silent running Camaro Convertibles very very soon!

Jeff Morris, Chevrolet Customer Service
Jeff NO ONE is satisfied, no one, not a single CAMARO VERT owner is satisfied with their top, not a single one, no one. This is the only subject on this entire board that there is a unanimous voice, this top is flawed and the fixes have made it worse.

Understand that NO ONE is happy about their tops or the fixes, period. This is not just a bunch of anal customers expecting some unrealistic standard be met. It is an entire GM line that has failed the customer completely on this top issue. Completely.

And frankly I find your post a little disheartening, as unknowing customers ride into their dealer and say, "Jeff says check for the latest documents and fix me up." Seriously?!

Can you please give us one example of a satisfied VERT owner that has had no top issues or has have them solved to their satisfaction? Just one Jeff... they aren't any. So please, thank you for all the help you try to provide on this site. But this issue needs a comprehensive approach coupled with public acknowledgement as well as an apology for treating the top of the line Camaro owners so poorly.

Jeff these cars are the top of the Camaro lineup, are they not? (EDIT well before the ZL1 release which has the SAME TOP!!) We have spent the most money for our cars. 5 grand extra to cut the top off to be given what we have is just

On a side note a field rep was out at my dealership checking on my file and new 2012's on the lot. After comparing my notes then dropping the top on the new ones on the show floor the field rep commented that the new ones are worse than when I had mine replaced. He said "we have a big problem." No what is a dealership supposed to do with a brand new car never driven with a bad top?
Jeff and everyone else has been silent on the top issues. Scott will not comment nor will the dealerships cause they are being left in the dark. There is a big coverup going on and I as a consumer do not like it.

A LOT of GM tops have been replaced at outside shops for years. The dealers don't have the expertise to do it. Unfortunately, the quality of the outside shops are hit and miss. The one in Phoenix that did Most of the GM tops is now out of business. Too bad. They did great work.
