I used the ignition fuse so there is no need for a switch. Still trying to figure out how to add pics.....

I have the dual 15 scanner rgb in my v6 grill mounted at the top and pointing down. Looks so awesome. Got installed yesterday. They used a opoxy and they did a class act on install with that said. How the heck can I learn the remote so I don't look like a fool at a show clicking buttons. Also seems last night they might have came on by themselves but still not sure did so much button pushing and noticed there is one mode it delays and was light out. But thinking about just adding a toggle switch. Can I just splice into the power wire and add it . Ill get some pics. Any help on toggle and also please please please help with remote functions would be awesome. I have the rgb 15 dual scanners v2

do anyone have any detailed pictures to how to wire this up?
i connected the red to the fusebox front nut like one of the pics shown on this thread. I also grounded the black wire to the nut the holds the radiator. My led strip stays on no matter what i do. how do i turn it on when the engine is on?

You can add a switch to the circuit (best), or, change to a fuse tap and use an ignition fuse, as stated above.

has anyone installed the toggle switch in the engine compartment? If so, where did you install it, did you have to drill a hole, and if so what size bit? I got the black toggle that comes with the Oracle kits. Has three prongs - hot, ground, and the power terminal.

Also, need to confirm if the "ground" connector is to run a ground wire from the switch to a ground on the car, or to run the black wires from the strips to that connector.

I'm not sure that is a weatherproof switch. I wouldn't install it under the hood unless it was. The ground on the switch needs to be grounded on the car, it runs the LED that shows when you have the switch on. Your other wires could be ran to that also, but they all would still need to be grounded.

Could you not just tap into the parking light wiring for this?

Yes, if you only want them on with the rest of the exterior lights.

This. 33 is the BCM fuse, and 15 is indeed the ignition. You can add a switch to both, but it's necessary for the BCM location.

This is what I did. Lights come on when engine is running. The 1st picture was taken near dusk with the new Bowtie installed.

I know this is an old thread but if anyone can help I could use it. I am trying to install LED grille lighting with a remote switch. The lights work when directly wired to the post in the fuse box but not when I wore the switch. I'm attaching a very rough diagram of how I have it. Am I doing something wrong or is it a defective switch? Sorry I'm not an artist lol.

I have no idea why the image shows up upside down either.
