You are lacking some basic understanding of the model designations.

Take it to the track to be sure.
I know someone that complained about his stock L99 A6 being real slow (wouldn't spin the tires, etc).
He took it to the track and ran low 13s (bone stock).

You could at the very least do some timed runs (0-60 mph, 0-100 mph) to get a rough baseline of your car's performance.
Taking it to an 1/8 mile track or 1/4 mile track would be much better (a lot more accurate).

Yep true that I don't really have that much knowledge about the camaro and all of the models. I am learning though. The 3 things I am pretty sure about are.

I know how to drive stick shift.

I enjoy my car and it is a 2ls

I really doubt that the purpose was fuel efficiency since 18 city is kinda laughable.

Not trying to start an argument here I just disagree with the topic.

Mine moves fast enough for me and mine is the convertible, which as said before weighs more. I never worry about other drivers either, if they want to pound their car, let them...I drive this car for looks and if I want to drive fast, I do, but I don't race.

I don't consider the Camaro a sports car either...it is a muscle car...I love my car, but the v6 lacks the muscle we would like to have.

I have owned some fast cars, but I enjoy this v6 more than almost anything else I have ever owned. Just enjoy the ride and if someone pulls out next to you fast...pretend you are in a Ferrari and wear the smug look of, "if I wanted to blow you away, I would".

Before mid 2011 there was an LS that came either stick or auto.

2LS was introduced with an automatic and the 2.92 screw. 1LS became the manual/3.27. AFAIK those are the only differences between the two models.

LT models you can get stick or auto on either model; the 2LT coming with the upgraded interior. The same with SS models.

You took the words right out of my mouth.

This thread reminds me of my other hobby.. My Jeep Wrangler, where people pop in and complain that it gets crappy gas mileage and ask "how fast" everyone's goes...

The Camaro is so much more than just a "Sports Car". In fact, I find calling it that kind of insulting.

It's an American Muscle Car. COMPLETELY different animal.
Just the sight of it rips at your gut. You want to walk around it and see every angle and every curve. It's SOOOO MUCH MORE that just a sports car.

Your V6 gives you the opportunity to own a piece of history for a reasonable price and still get a few thrills once that baby winds up.

If Chevy were really worried about making a Mistake beater, they would have.
They intentionally built this car into what it is with eyes wide open. They knew she was big, they knew she had big ol' hips, they knew she was long and heavy.

I just hope the 6th gen redesigners aren't from the "fast and furious" world.

You're in a V6, you don't expect to be launching like a madman.
If you've got the bug, then trade up my friend....

In the meantime...enjoy the experience. Everyone is looking because they're jealous.

I am sorry and do not mean to be insulting to anyone but the V6 Camaro's are SLOW. You buy them for the LOOK and that is what you can afford and want. You do not buy a V6 Camaro if you want a fast car. IF you want a Camaro that will be able to keep up with most cars then you need a V8. Pretty simple. Those that state their V6 is plenty fast for them then congratulations you choose the correct car for your style of driving and that is a great thing! For me a stock SS V8 was too slow. So, I had to modify so I would enjoy driving it. It is all up to each individual. My Camaro with 584 HP to the wheels is my daily driver and is a great daily driver. I have owned over three Lambogrhinis and a Ferrari. The Lambos have tainted what fast is for me. So again, it is all up to each individual. Just my .02
