I watched the video mentioned in the thread, and it sounded excellent, even with just the non-NPP mufflers. I looked at the Camaro LS3 vs. the Corvette LS3 exhaust manifolds, and the Camaro has a log manifold, while the Corvette has more of a Tri-Y with a center outlet. That would explain why the Corvette sounded better to me. I think these headers are the answer. Michael Last edited by Michael2000; 02-03-2013 at 04:26 PM. |

unless you get the oem cats back on the shorties i am pretty sure its illegal. actually i am not sure if even touching the oem manifolds or cats is technically legal in california.
havent seen any intakes with a carb sticker either. i have long tubes and would pass the sniff test here in socal just not an inspection part where they actually know and care. |

I like the tone of my dual mode exhaust. I just wish the volume was a little louder when it opens up. Even so, I am very happy with it.

Funny he likes the ZL1 note but not the NPP. Basically they are the same exhaust coming out of a 6.2L. Maybe because you where inside the SS driving it and not outside hearing it go by.

Do you even lift, bro?

You should hear a boosted 1LE w/rear cog overdrive in person with the NPP and the fuse pulled......

My bud has a ZL1 and says that my 1LE has a deeper sound than his on idle.
