One question I forgot to ask, how do I turn the lights on? Is there a normal power button? The way the guy explained it, he said the lights turn on when the car does, and off when the car does?

Really all depends on how you wire them up. You master WIFI module that communicates with boxes would have to be to constant power source...In my Camaro have wired to a switch inside the cabin and switch off and on when I choose.

In my Smart car I have to go inside the app everytime to turn the lights on/off and thats a pain. Highly recommend a switch of some kind

I don't mind going to the app and hitting a power button if that's possible. Any pics of the switch and where you put it? That would be nice to have it wired to a switch!

I have mine using cup holder switch plate from emblem pros...my Night owl system is set up slightly different with all these switches. I have a button for lower zl1 fogs, halos in upper fogs, and so on. This lets me turn on any set of lights I want or halos. I have my halos set to default red so when switch flip comes right on. No need to use app unless wanting to do certain functions or change the color

I am thankful that we have so many helpful users on here. I like to hear our user's perspective, so I have tried to refrain from posting.

The V2 kit has several differences. First, we did away with any switch. We made the new modules such low power when in standby mode that they actually stay on all of the time. They wake up every couple of seconds to listen for the master module, and then go back to sleep. They also are wired to the ignition signal which wakes them up. It is important to remove power to the master when not in use for this reason.

Second, the key fob remote is not included in the kit any longer. This is one of the ways we have been able to lower the cost. As you have heard, many users don't even use it. Their batteries are probably dead by now.

Users need to get the kit, follow our basic usage instructions, and then play with it to figure it out. It gets very complicated trying to explain all of the features. Users without the kit already are usually confused by all of the features. We also have several videos showing how to do different things.

Thanks everyone for helping to explain things.

Yeah I was talking with you through email on Sunday-monday and I was pretty confused lol. When it's installed, I'll watch the videos and figure it out! Or I'll just ask for more help!

Joe is a great guy and helped me when setting system up. It confused me as well when starting, but once I dived in piece of cake!! Hope I didn't confuse you to much with my explanations in early postings. Its very simple once you get everything organized in the App.
