I was looking at the 12569 tru-x muffler but wasn't sure if it will fit with the pipes 5.75" apart. I called Magnaflow and they said the #11386 was used on the Comp. cat-back. If the 12569 fits I'd be more interested because it is slightly larger making it a little quieter. Will they both fit?

Also, a muffler delete is $80-$100. What are you guys paying to have a resonated x-pipe installed? I'll likely do the x-pipe install and muffler delete.

I paid a total of $275 plus tax for muffler delete, Magnaflow stainless steel resonated x pipe and labor. My car is a A6 and I am very satisfied with setup and sound.

I have part # 10791 in stock and you can use coupon code FreeShipping to receive free shipping on the X-Pipe. We also don't charge a handling fee.

Please feel free to call, email or PM me anytime with questions! We've been using these X-Pipes for years with great success! Have a happy holiday!

Kind regards,
Just submitted my order. Thanks.

What are the steps for incorporating the x-pipe into the muffler delete setup? I have a shop that does the delete and provides the straight pipes, but they haven't done this with the x-pipe yet. Also, I assumed that I only need 1 xpipe. Is that correct? Thanks.

That is correct, you'll only need 1 X-Pipe. Basically the shop will cut out your factory H-Pipe and/or resonator and they'll weld the X-Pipe in. They will probably need to add a couple of short 2.5" tubing pieces between the back of the X-Pipe and the factory mid section you'll be connecting to.

Please feel free to have the shop call us directly with any questions on the placement of the X-Pipe. If you have any questions please feel free to call, email or PM me anytime! Again Thank you for choosing JDP Motorsports for your performance needs and have a Happy New Year!

Kind regards,

yes you only need 1 x-pipe. are you asking how they would install the x-pipe part in the exhaust? if you have the L99, they would need to cut out the resonator and weld the x-pipe and some more piping in place.

Do'h!!! i guess i'm too slow to type, lol

I've heard that the SLP loudmouth I is nothing more than a muffler delete is that true or is it just another resonator? I've seen a Youtube video of a black Camaro in Torence Cal. doing a slow and fast pass. His was a M6 and it did pop on deceleration, but not that bad. Would a loudmouth II with an X-pipe soud better?

Just do it and see if you like it.
