It's either common or they never heard of it before.

They told me its the A/C compressor not responding.
Mine took a dump Sunday. I turned it on the car lugged (1SS) and started blowing warm air. Turned it off got to my destination and and opened the hood. Turned it on like I normally would and when clutcu engaged it squealed like a pig. Shut it down took it in today and just got the cal the compress is shot. Call your dealer and and even have him call Hejak Cevy in Longmont,Co they have to order the part so maybe this can save you some time. I'm going to have to make second trip back.

Stick the thermometer in center vent to measure how cold it is getting.
Mine reads about 43F at the center vent and about 50 at the side vents.
I had problems with cooling and took it in under warranty. Blows cold now.
So is this "blows cold now" the 43F at the center vent and about 50 at the side vents?

Cheers

I took mine in for the same issue. They replaced the compressor, and it worked for three days, then stopped working. Took it back in, and they realized the hvac update had not been done on my car, thus the new compressor had been shot. They did the update, ordered a new compressor, and it is supposed to be put on tomorrow.

Yes. Blow cold = 43F at the center vents. A little higher at the side vents.

Very helpful thread. I didn't know the snowflake had to be turned on for AC. I feel silly.

So this is what was wrong....

They had to replace two compressors on mine.... they did something else as well the second time and it has been fine since but wait here comes the summer stay tuned.....

I always remember hearing a belt screech before the it stopped working....

Bringing this from the dead. My 10 Camaro SS with 60k on her started blowing hot air one morning. Snowflake button is on. My brother stated he heard my compressor making weird noises. I can see the clutch spinning but no cold air. I’m praying it’s just a compressor.
