Aesthetics has nothing to do with horsepower. Adding a light mod such as this isn't even in use when the car is being driven. It's for the owner's personal enjoyment or maybe for car shows or meets to get people's attention. If it's not your thing then hey, that's your prerogative. You could of simply said, "hey, job well done but, it's not really the look I'd go for". Instead you chose to come across as a douche. Poor form sir.

As for the rest, thanks for the compliments. I have my moments. Part of my job and what I enjoy doing is taking cool things and making them cooler or better. What Summit has done is a great idea well executed. I just want to kick it up a notch and put my own spin on it. Some will like it. Some won't. That's just the nature of a modding community. I'm just hoping to be able to execute it as well as Summit has. I'm still waiting on the 2 sets of cheapy ebay knight rider strips. There's no guarantee I'll be able to mod them enough to be useful for what I have in mind. For $50 though, it was definitely worth a try. My guess is that I'll get them in next week. That gives me about a week to work on them and try a few things out before I leave for my vacation in Maui. If all goes well, I'm hoping to have it all finalized to a finished mod by this time next month. I'll do a write up with pictures and instructions if people want to give it a go. Just figured I'd post my plan and a time frame for those paying attention.

I know Atti2de and he is a "douche". He is also a pretty nice guy. He is just yanking our chains. Maybe he needs his own fuzzy dice to fondle.

"hey, job well done but, it's not really the look I'd go for"

i will try to be more possitive from now on...such as those hood plates are the best looking ones out there and everyone else has just copied his idea. is that better? not such a "DOUCHE" as you put it???

I understand that if you're going to be on the internet, you've got to have thick skin. People will say anything they can just to be a dick and get a rise out of people. There's losers out there who get their jollies doing that sort of thing. So far, the C5 community has been pretty good about that and most people are cool about giving feedback whether it's positive or negative. Most people do so while being respectful. Yours just came across as being disrespectful. I've been an admin on several websites and out of habit I spoke up in an effort to keep this community respectful and a pleasant one to be a part of. I've been known to speak my mind as well and say things don't come across the way I meant them which make me come across like a douche. I'm fine with that as I'm sure you are. Like I said, your comment just came across as disrespectful. Whether it was just giving a friend shit, just trying to be funny, or being dead serious, it's hard to tell by just reading and not knowing you. I'm not a mod here and I'm not wanting to be the behavior police. Just wanting to keep this place friendly.

Wow....awesome mod....question....how are the LED's holding up to all the engine heat???
Do you drive it daily or is the car just for show? A very cool idea!!!

Thanks. The car gets driven once maybe twice a week. No heat issues at all.

OK I received the 2 Knight Rider lights I ordered. The LED strip is inside a clear heatshrink tube. I'm going to have to remove that to take it apart and see if I can make the whole unit shorter. I'll update as I get more in depth.
