Thanks, guys! I just reckoned that me being angry at him wasn't gonna get my car fixed either so I just let it go. At least the car's okay now! And he owes me for sure!

Anyway, I took the car in today and was told that it was minimal damage. The two guys couldn't even see it at all until I pointed it out, and even then they were squinting. I guess I must've done a pretty good job myself. So they took a look at her just to make sure nothing else was damaged. I decided that if two mechanics couldn't hardly tell, I wouldn't spend the money to fix it that I might need to fix something more major later on. They definitely reassured me, though. As for my dad, he definitely will not be driving my car again any time soon! As much as it pains me to see my Camaro with it's first injury, I'm letting this one go unbandaged. I do, however, think a good wash and wax is in order, just to cheer her up.

I also think a nice little upgrade is in order too. Pick out something nice and pretty and get that feel good feeling back into it. She and you will be fine. Hugs to the two of you.

I agree. I have an idea: tell Dad that to pay for the repairs you have to get on the stripper pole.

Let's see how fast he finds his checkbook.

IMO, cherish the moments you have with your dad, they don't last forever. Yea, he could have handled it a little different but in the end who cares? When he's gone, you will look at that spot and remember the times...
After having lost both parents, I agree 100%. It is a car and can be fixed, enjoy the time you have left because once it is gone this wonderful car will be the last thing you think about.

I wished my Mom or Dad could have actually seen this wonderful ride and experienced either driving it or going for a ride.

Yeah, and dad should take responsibility for his actions. She has every right to be upset at him, not necessarily for the accident, but for his refusal to take responsibility for something he and he alone did.

Get it fixed because you know as well as I do that it will drive you crazy because you know it's there. For your own mental health, I would get it professionally repaired.

Find out how much it costs, then decide if it's worth the $$$ for you.

If you can't see it, don't fix it. I hit some curbing in a drive through and scraped the under part of the bumper. You can't notice it unless you look for it. I forgot it was there until this thread. Eventually I will fix it, but later down the line when there is more of a need to have the entire fascia re-painted.

With all due respect I would have ad least had to ask "Are you fkn kidding me"? Then give him a hug and a kiss and apologize for the disrespect... Then repeat "Are you fkn kidding me"?

He should be teaching you responsibility correct?

That's why I have a first scratch rule: No one drives my cars until after I put the first scratch on the car, so if I let someone drive my car it's easier to deal with if they damage the car.
