The 2013 GT500 seems to be shaping up to be a legendary Pony car, but as much as I respect what Ford is doing I just can't get into it. It's not that I have some big anti-Ford/pro-Chevy bias (although I've always preferred GM), it's mainly that it doesn't do anything for me when I look at it. To me, a car like this has to evoke an emotional response when looking at it. The ZL1 does this for me, the GT500 does not. I know looks are subjective, but they are very important for many purchasing these type of cars.

Now the Ford GT, on the other hand, is a timeless piece of automotive art. One of my favorite designs of all time. I know it's unlikely, but I hope they bring it back again.

Shurenuff...... Exactly. I don't even want to buy 5.0 Magazines etc... they do nothing for me either. The ZL1 is the first car, to be honest, to have evoked such an emotional "buying" response from me in 45 years. It's the design that got my attention, and the GM heads and hearts that went into this that made me know it was time to jump in. Something tells me, that with the advent of the Alpha platform, the ZL1 may succumb to the Z/28, which I feel will be historic once again. Just my gut! And how many manufacturers have put together a brochure bragging about the racing ability of a product? I have never seen one. This is different. Lucky to be in this!

You never know. By the time they got the bugs out of the FORD GT, they discontinued it. A lot of folks thought they'd never see a new VIPER again either.

The FORD GT is one of my all time favorite machines... that & the AC Shelby COBRA 427. Absolutely gorgeous automotive art!

Me. I don't want one, being a "Ford Guy" but I love the car, love that it exists and would happily drive it if my Corvette loving wife bought one. I come here because I enjoy learning about it (and maybe a future Z28, which is what brought me here in the first place) just as much as I love reading about any performance car, especially a North American one.

Bro' you can come roll with us Camaro freaks anytime. I love Mustangs just a much. If by the grace of the al-mighty things keep up here in Canada, I'll be latching onto a 2014 GT500 next year.
